When I began talking with Donna at Coastal State Glass about my job, she assured me on my concerns that in the event of cracks in the mirrors, they wouldn't come down because her husband, Sean the installer, would use so much glue that it would hold; that the mirrors would float above the wooden wall to avoid stress on the mirrors. She also assured me that they had done exterior mirror jobs before, she has several shown on their FaceBook page, and that they had techniques to assure a good job, that the mirrors wouldn't shatter, and they would be able to help me after the sale/install if necessary.  There was no 'end date' that they would no longer stand behind their work.
In 2015, I had gone to Donna for help with a mirror that had cracked and was slipping off.  After going by their office and repeated attempts to speak with them, she had an assistant call me to say 'they can't come that far any more' and couldn't reccommend anyone to help me.
Then May 31, 2016, several large pieces came off the wall completely and one just slid off the wall entirely!  I could have been killed if I had been underneath  it cleaning up the shattered glass from the pieces that had fallen all over.   Several of the pieces that had cracked had slipped behind other panels and broke those good mirrors as well.  It was a domino effect causing much more damage and cost which could have been mitigated if they had come out when I first needed/asked them to.
I had managed to find another glass company to come help me, who advised me that the original installation of the mirrors was inadequate.  He pointed out how duck tape had been used; that the J channel holding the mirrors in place had not been fixed to the wall at all, allowing the mirrors to pull away from the wall.
I called Coastal State back with this report and Donna told me she would have Sean would come to my place in a few weeks to see what they could do to help. That she would let me know what they could do after Sean came out to inspect. I called several times to ask when and they put me off for another week, then another week, and as of today, July 9th, I haven't seen them.
When I called Sean to ask when he would be coming, he said that  he had come (basically trespassed on my property when I wasn't there) with an attorney who had advised him not to talk with me; that he would talk with Donna to see 'what they could do; maybe some smaller mirrors or another company to re-hang the mirrors.."
They  haven't called me back since 6/19 to advise what they will do to stand behind their work.
I haven't been able to use the horse pasture where the mirrors are since the end of May when they came down due to the danger to the horses with the glass.
I found both Donna and Sean to be untrustworthy without integrity or conscience regarding their work, as well as not even returning their customer's calls.

The final bill of the work was more than the quote Coastal State Glass & Mirror gave us initially. But that was because we upgraded some stuff after the quote was given. However, it was still cheaper than quotes we received from other providers.

"Thank you for the kind words [Member Name Removed]. I take pride in the fact that I would NEVER give a bill to a customer that was higher than agreed. I would take a loss first. Sometimes Prices are higher in person than when verbally quoted but nothing is ordered until customer agrees to price."

They came out two times and measured, to make sure that they had a perfect measurement; especially because the windows were specially made. We heard about this company through word of mouth and were told to use them because they are good people and are not price gougers.
