I would have never hired A-1 Painting ( Shannon Rieger) if I had read about her in painting on this list.  I was looking for someone to clean and apply deck protector to a deck and a large building on my property.  A1 painting was not listed in decks on this list so I did not read the other complaint about them. They had the largest ad in the newspaper. Shannon, the owner, convinced us to give her 1/2 the money down so she could buy supplies and start the project 2 days later  (5-5-15).  After many calls and 4 different times of them not showing up when she said they would, she finally called and brought her son on 6-1-15 to clean the deck.  At that time she asked for extra money because she said we would need two coats, but she would only charge 1/2 labor.  We told her we would see when the job was done.  Last time we heard from her.  According to the contractor we finally hired, the cleaning job was not done properly.  Shannon said she would be back the next day, but never showed and never called.  All the deck furniture was now on the grass.  I called a few times until 6-5-15 but finally just gave up.  I would never hire this company and if you do. be sure not to give her any money up front.   We finally bought our own supplies and hired another contractor to do the work..  I had heard there were contractors who would do people like this, but I never thought I would be one of them.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE SERVICES OF THIS CONTRACTOR, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL,  PRICE QUOTED ON WRITTEN QUOTE CHANGED WHEN JOB WAS DONE.  SHODDY WORK...PEOPLE SHE HAD PAINTING WHERE NOT PAINTERS AND LEFT DRIPS AND WALL COLOR ON CEILINGS..LEFT ALL VENTS OFF AND DID NOT REPLACE LIKE THEY SAID THEY WOULD..USED PROFANITY IN MY HOME WHEN I CALLED HER OUT ON DIFFERENCE IN PRICE QUOTED..OVERALL BAD JOB DONE FOR THE MONEY I PAID AND I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CONTRACTOR TO ANYONE....BUYER BEWARE......
