It went very well and would use them again as when I received the estimate (the estimate was done right in my home) I was told what would come out of these floors and what would not.  I really appreciated the honesty of the estimator (owner) and went ahead and had the floors down anyway.  I would definitely re hire them if need be.

A very professional company to work with.  Dust was kept to the most minimal possible and the repairs and finish are beautiful.

Our new home had oak hardwoods in the foyer, dining room, and PART of the living room. For some reason, the other part of the living room was covered in old, needing-to-be-replaced carpet. We wanted to have this entire part of the house to have hardwood flooring. The first company that came out said it would not be possible to match existing flooring at all, and suggested I use a different color! (not the look we were going for) The second company's salesman said yes, they could match the color and gloss, but when they brought the wood to my home it was clear there was absolutely no way this flooring would ever match what was currently in the house. I stopped their work immediately. Pioneer Flooring was recommended to me, and while it was more expensive than the other estimates, my husband and I are THRILLED with the results. You cannot tell where the old floor ends and the new floor begins! The result is a more open, inviting living /dining area. The work was done while we were on vacation (it took an extra day and a half to get the exact match, but they are perfectionists and I'm glad they are), and although there was some minor dust to deal with, the house was left in great shape, everything was on time, and Erick was very professional. I highly recommend this company if you have tricky flooring issues. Great job!

Eric from Pioneer Wood Flooring refinished the Ash wood floor in my newly acquired house, after a recommendation from my real estate agent. Looking for the most durable finish, we used Bona Traffic finish (100 dollars a gallon) a commercial quality finish regarded by many as the best available. The floor was in semi rough shape from the previous owners dogs and age, and Eric suggested going the difficult route, which was to sand the floor until the ~ 1/16 inch deep bevels in the floor were removed. His three man crew was excellent, and spent the better part of three days just sanding the floor until the grooves were removed, and then further filling and sanding/buffing. On the fourth day they carefully buffed the previous two coats and applied a third, and it now looks like a new floor! I would use them again, and will recommend them highly. Eric also was very responsive, and returned all calls and messages in a very prompt manner.

The quality of work was excellent. I have a debate with how they took out the old tile. They didn't really completely tear it all out. The only other problem I had with them was that the quality of the material was a lot softer than I had thought it would be. The salesperson was a little difficult to work with. I didn't always get straight answers from her. She also didn't give me very good information on getting a good maintenance kit for the floor. The crew that installed the flooring was great though. I would have to think about recommending them again.
