McConnell came out promptly and did the repair. Their estimate was accurate and was considerable lower than another company. A/C is working fine again.

We were going to buy a less expensive system but after listening to his feedback we with with a Trane. We are happy with the system.

Took a bit longer than I would have liked to get the part and replace it. Also a lower price would have been nice. But I enjoyed their company while they were here and it wasn't overly long or overly expensive - I expect both the time it took and the price were pretty-much industry standard. They are replacing a one-of-a-kind, incredible technician who I used to use but is no longer available so I probably set the bar very high but I don't have anyone else to compare them with.

We have used McConnell for other A/C work. The owner, Mike McConnell, came out and gave me an estimate and we scheduled an installation date. He had good recommendations for the type unit I should get, and I trusted his expertise on that. All went well, but we did have an issue shortly after installation. Mike came right out and found the problem - something about the drainage from the air handler and a sensor shut it down.  I have had him come out one other time to check the unit outside as it seemed to rattle sometimes.  He corrected that easily.

McConnell was good. There were no problems. They were the second lowest on price. We've been using them for eight years.

He's really good for the rental house because he talks to the tenants like smooth them over so he's a good guy to go out there. Mike is a very personable guy. They have been real good. They put the units in on that house eight years ago so we have them service the units they put in. They're very reasonable.

I came home from work to find my A/C was out. I called McConnell and he was at my house within the hour. He replaced a defective runcap and added freon. Checked everything else out and stayed to make sure it was adequately cooling again.

They do great work, are reasonable and attentive.

I decided to not go forward with replacing the whole system, but i called to have air conditioning fixed because it stopped working. The serviceman came out and just put in more freon. When it stopped working again he offered to put in more freon and I told him that I wanted to to actually repair to stop further problems. He told me he would have to do a leak detection that would take three hours and he said I need to replace the whole system which would take a whole week. I decided to go with another company who came and found the leak within ten minutes. The other company also recommended that I do not need to replace the system and any company saying I needed to replace is just after my money. I called McConnell again to tell them to send an invoice for the freon that he used. I received an invoice that he had hand wrote next to the price "It should have been a lot more considering the wasted time and effort!"

The heat stopped working so I had called another company we'd used before. They recommended replacement of the 9-yr old air handler and compressor since repair would exceed $1800 and the unit is 9 yrs old. I wanted to get a second opinion, so I called McConnell on the recommendation of a friend and Angie's List rating. Was very pleased with MIke's honest, professional manner and lack of "salesman" lingo. They were $500 less than the other estimate, so we had them install the new unit a couple of days later. Very happy with the installation and operation of the new unit and the building inspector said they did a "nice, neat and professional" job. We've since hired them to repair the unit at a rental home. I would highly recommend them!

We now use them for our regular maintenance service. They are absolutely fabulous. I would recommend them to others and use them again in the future.

They are punctual. I appreciate talking to a real person on the phone instead of a message system. We trust them to come to our home when we aren't there and you can never even tell they were there, except that they leave the bill on the counter! The trust we have with them makes the price irrelevant.

The work began as promised on a Tuesday and ended on Friday. Each day the crew arrived promptly and worked until 3:00. It seemed that the day's work was determined by the phase of the job (removing old unit and duct work, delivery of new unit and materials, and installing the new duct work). At each phase they would invite me to inspect the work and show me the ugly moldy ducts and unit they removed. At the end I felt that these men took great pride in doing the job right. My only negative is that when the old ducts were removed, dried mold and ceiling spackle sprinkled down from the vents on my furniture. They vacuumed up some but not all the rooms involved.
