 + -1 moreVENDOR DEMANDED A 50% DOWNPAYMENT OF $2500. VENDOR HAS NEVER RETURNED TO BEGIN THE JOB. MULTIPLE PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS HAVE GONE UNANSWERED. PHONE NUMBER IN NO LONGER A WORKING NUMBER AS OF THE WEEK STARTING 8/29/05.
Description of Work: WORK PROMISED PER CONTRACT WAS NEVER PERFORMED.

 + -1 morePAYMENT IN FULL BEFORE DOING ANY WORK WAS EXPECTED. ALTHOUGH CONTRACT WAS FOR MORE WORK THAN WAS ACTUALLY DONE, NO REBATE/REFUND WAS OFFERED(EVEN WHEN I SUGGESTED IT SHOULD BE).
Description of Work: SIDEWALK WAS DEMOLISHED.

 + -1 moreI WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM. THEY DID A VERY POOR JOB AND DO NOTHING TO MITIGATE THE DAMAGES. ALL I ASKED THEM TO DO WAS CUT THE SPACER DOWN SO THAT NO ONE FALLS AND INJURES THEMSELVES, I DON'T THINK THAT IS AN UNREASONABLE REQUEST. THEY LEFT A LOT OF SCRAPE MARKS ALL OVER THE LOWER PART OF MY DRIVEWAY. THE CONCRETE THAT THEY DID POUR DOESN'T LOOK THAT GREAT. ALL OF THIS I COULD ENDURE IF THEY WOULD JUST REPAIR THE SPACERS. THIS IS A BIG ISSUE FOR ME BECAUSE IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD. MY STEP-FATHER WHO LIVES WITH ME IS ELDERLY AND HAS ALREADY BEEN HOSPITALIZED (MAY '04) FOR INJURIES SUSTAINED IN A FALL. I HAVE EXPLAINED THIS TO THEM BUT THEY JUST SAY THEY WILL COME THEN NEVER SHOW UP.
Description of Work: THE DRIVEWAY OF MY HOME NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED AFTER MY TREE HAD ROOT BARRIER INSTALLED. I CALLED SEVERAL COMPANIES AND MR. GIANINO GAVE ME WHAT I FELT WAS A FAIR PRICE. HAD I KNOWN HOW BAD THE QUALITY OF HIS WORK WAS I WOULD NOT HAVE HIRED HIM. AT BEST THE DRIVEWAY LOOKS LIKE AN AMATEUR DID THE WORK. THE CREW CAUSED DAMAGE TO OTHER PARTS OF THE DRIVEWAY THAT DIDN'T NEED REPAIR. THEY PUT IN SPACERS THAT DON'T MATCH THE ORIGINAL ONES IN WIDTH, EVEN THE ONE THEY PUT SIDE BY SIDE. THEY LEFT SOME OF THEM STICKING UP SO FAR THAT SOMEONE COULD TRIP OVER THEM, AND AFTER SEVERAL CALLS TO THEM ASKING THAT THEY CUT IT DOWN THEY STILL HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING. DEFINATELY NOT A PROFESSIONAL JOB.

concrete driveways, concrete repair
 + 0 moreFrank is great and he has a great crew. They are all very polite. The clean-up is good and the price is reasonable. Some of the other concrete companies on the list wanted to charge $2000 just to get their crew out to pour half a driveway. I didnt know the water main ran under the driveway to tell them to be careful. When it broke they did everything necessary to get it fixed in a hurry. They were very helpful.
Description of Work: Removed broken driveway and poured new one (about 1/2 a driveway).
