CUSTOM CLIMATE CONTROL

We were to receive a new 4 ton unit. We didnt want to spend the cash and they explained that that wouldn't be a problem,because they had financing.They also said we would get a credit on our taxes. The company rep too care of all the paper work. We had a schedulled date for the work to be done and we made plans accordingly. The unit arrive and it was wheeled in the house. After about and hour of them obviously having a dispute I asked what was the problem? Well it seems they ordered us the 4 ton unit and it would not fit in the closet. They explained we will have to down size to a 3 and a 1/2 ton unit so they wheeled the unit back around to the truck and shortly the other unit arrived. They continued to bicker about whos fault it was for ordering a unit that would fit in the closet anyway they also installed a outlet and its not even a year old and the Air handler is leaking water, the outlet doesnt work and the compressor outside keeps shutting down and it sounds like a Semi truck down shifting. I read all of the awful reviews and honestly we are afraid to even call them back for, according to our warranty a "free service call".Over $7,000.00 later, incidently the financing was at 26% interest rate, so we paid the entire balance off. One thing I would like to mention is we changed our mind on getting a 795.00 untra violet light that keeps particles from being in the air and remember we went from 4 ton to 3 and 1/2 ton unit and the price went down $110.00.

They said I had black mold, and needed a cleaning of my system and duct work, needed a U/V light and a HEPA filtration system. The total cost of the estimated work would be $2995. I consulted 2 other Angie's List providers, neither company said I had black mold or needed that much work. One of the companies performed a coil cleaning for a reasonable amount. I believe Custom Climate Control was trying to sell me equipment and services I did not need.

THE COMPANY APPEARED THE NEXT DAY AS PROMISED, I PRESUME THE WORKERS PERFORMED THE WORK IN WORKMANLIKE FASHION, HOWEVER, I HAD TO REMIND THEM THAT I HAD PAID FOR INSTALLATION OF THE BIO. U.V. LIGHT WHICH WAS NOT ON THEIR WORK ORDER. I HAVE CALLED THE SERVICE DEPT. AND GETTING NO RESPONSE AFTER TEN DAYS CALLED THE SALES OFFICE REQUESTING SOME DOCUMENTATION ON THE U.V. LIGHT. A MONTH HAS PASSED WITH NO POSITIVE RESULTS. I AM SKEPTICAL NOW THEY WILL RESPOND WHEN I NEED SERVICE.

The serviceman, Andrew, was very professional. He came out and did what he said he would. It was a good experience.

They are great. They explain everything that they're gonna do. If they have any specials that they're offering, he writes up everything he did (even though it's on contract), and they don't pressure me into buying anything. I have an RV light to kill mildew in the air conditioner, and under the contract, if it goes out, they replace it for free.

GENERALLY VERY PROFESSIONAL. WHEN THEY CLEANED THE DUCTS DAMAGED WAS DONE TO THE CEILING WHICH THE TECHNICIAN TRIED TO COVER-UP, AND DID NOT SAY ANYTHING TO ME EVEN THOUGH I WAS IN THE HOUSE. WHEN THE COMPANY WAS CONTACTED, THEY REFUSED TO TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM.

SOLD ME THINGS I DID NOT NEED AND TRIED TO SELL ME MORE.

THEY EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME AND TOLD ME WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE AND HOW THEY WOULD DO IT. THEY GAVE ME ALL OPTIONS SO THAT I COULD DECIDE WHAT I WANTED THEM TO DO. THEY ALSO GAVE ME THE PRICE BEFORE DOING ANY WORK. I'VE BEEN VERY PLEASED WITH THEM.

I FEEL LIKE THEY ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF ME AND RIPPING ME OFF. WHEN THEY REPLACE BULBS, THEY TELL ME THAT ONE IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND CAN BE REPLACED BY THEM FOR FREE, BUT THE OTHER BULB WILL COST ME AROUND $300. THEY ALSO TRY TO SELL ME OTHER THINGS THAT I DON'T NEED. I FEEL THEIR PRICE IS WAY OUT OF LINE.

THEY TOOK A PHOTO TO EXPLAIN AND DREW A DIAGRAM. THEY USED DROP CLOTHES AND BACKED UP ALL WORK AT NO CHARGE. THEY ARE RELIABLE. I RECEIVED A PLANTER WITH ORCHIDS AND GREEN PLANTS THE NEXT DAY.
