C C AIR CONDITIONING & REFRIGERATION

I noticed that my A/C was running a lot during the day and could not seem to keep up with the heat of the day. After getting an electric bill that was almost $400, I called what I thought was a reputable company, due to the fact that I had seen their ads and trucks around for a VERY long time. They told me they would be out that same morning, but to my surprise they actually arrived only about 30 minutes after I called! They checked the system over and told me I had a freon leak somewhere and that they could trace it down and fix it, but with the age of the system it would keep happening. They recommended a new system for $3400! They wouldn't give me a price to repair due to having to trace the leak but the minimum would be $350! I paid them $75 for the service call and decided to get a second opinion. My boss told me to call Claude at C.C. Claude said my compressor grill was filled with mud and only needed to be hosed out and that my freon was gone, but I didn't seem to have a leak!
