Description of Work: Heritage Propane is owned my Amerigas which has 80% of the Florida market. |Without competition, Heritage/Amerigas charge what they want, take it or leave it. With crude oil and national gas, both raw stock materials for propane, at historical lows, it is inconceivable that propane prices are so high in Florida. The rest of the U.S. has prices lower by a large magnitude. We consumers in Florida are getting ripped off royally.

 + -1 moreHeritage Propane's prices are reasonable. They are an average company. They do what you would expect them to. They are reliable.
Description of Work: I buy propane from Heritage Propane. I call them out when my tank is almost empty, I don't have them come out and bill me every month.

 + -1 moreWHEN ON THE PHONE WITH THE COMPANY, THE COST WAS QUOTED AS AROUND $600, WHICH BECAME $1000-$1200 WHEN THE REP CAME TO MY HOUSE. I FOUND THAT THIS WAS TYPICAL WHEN I GOT OTHER QUOTES, WHICH APPARENTLY DO NOT INCLUDE TANK AND FITTINGS WHEN YOU CALL IN. THEY WERE NOT THE LOW BID (MIDDLE BID), BUT WERE THE MOST RESPONSIVE IN TERMS OF CALL-BACK AND SCHEDULING, AND WERE THE FASTEST TO RESPOND TO MY HOUSE. THEY ALSO GAVE ME THE BEST PRICE ON PROPANE. THE INSTALLER AND REP GAVE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND WERE EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE. EVERYTHING WORKS GREAT.

 + -1 moreTHE ESTIMATOR WAS A VERY NICE GENTLEMAN. HE TOLD ME THAT I COULD PUT THE CONCRETE PAD DOWN BEFORE THEY PUT THE TANK DOWN. AFTER PUTTING THE PAD DOWN THEY TOLD ME THAT I COULDN'T PUT IT THERE, AFTER GOING AROUND AND AROUND WITH THEM THEY FINALLY AGREED TO PUT THE PAD DOWN. THE MANAGER IS RUDE. THEY FINALLY PUT THE TANK ON THE PAD BUT THEY HAVEN'T PRESSURE TESTED IT AND I STILL HAVE NO GAS IN THE TANK AND NO HEAT. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR SIX WEEKS NOW. THEY CONTINUALLY SAY THEY WILL GET BACK WITH ME AND DON'T AND I HAVE ALREADY PAID THEM.
