Although there were many positive attributes highlighted by this client, I believe the most important thing that was conveyed in this review is that the client felt that they had “someone looking out for them“. We put our clientele ahead of our own needs, protecting them at all costs. Our job is to protect our client from anything and everything, even if it is protection from our own fees. For example, sometimes a client will try to order an ancillary report (insurance document, for example) that is not necessary, and instead of collecting the money and shooting the report over, we alert them of the fact that a specific document is not or may not be necessary, and we are even willing to go so far as to speak with an insurance agent on their behalf. This review speaks volumes in that we perform a large amount of new construction inspections and as a result we are familiar with the techniques, anticipated quality and floor plan of nearly any builder that is active in our area at any given time. More importantly, this client indicated that we spent seven hours on site inspecting a brand new home. It should be noted that we not only spent seven plus hours on site, but there were two of us which equals 14 man hours or more. In a brand new structure. The house had the appearance of a shiny nickel, but with forensic style evaluation we uncovered a laundry list of concerns to be addressed. Despite the clean and serviceable appearance, we identified $75,000+- worth of repairs to be fast tracked, not the least of which was the necessity for a new tile roof (potentially $75,000 alone).
