We added the inside bar after the original project of the enclosure. AHC went out of their way to provide what we wanted. Everyone was top notch in their work. From their electrician to the granite fabricator, installers, enclosure construction team...just awesome.
I would not hesitate to use AHC again for any project in our home. I would be happy to provide photos to anyone wishing to see them.
Not very good at communicating when work was to start. Once started never knew when the workers would show up or if they would. But once they did they seemed to work hard. Missed items like grounding which was caught by building inspector.
Word to the wise make sure everything you agree upon is spelled out very clearly in the contract because the salesman will tell you one thing but then the owner will not live up to what the salesman said. Salesman agreed to move an outside light work to be done by their electrician and when I pointed it out as missed was told would not do it. Salesman even call and said it was his mistake but I still had to pay to have work done. To bad company does not stand behind salesman's commitments, and for such a small item?
I bought a big deal for this service and everything was great. They did a great job.
"I was taken aback when I read this review and thought I would take a moment to clarify a few date you contracted with us on a 6/23/14 and we collected a payment check on 7/14/14 that is 21 days not the 2 months as u stated we work on written contracts and u wanted extra things done that were not in the contracts and upset that my crew would not do them without a change order the light you are speaking of was completely rusted thru yard light that we replaced for you after finding that light and having to special order it did take a little extra time I am glad you are happy with the quality of our workmanship and we strive to have all happy customers its my regret that you will not be counted among our many satisfied and repeat customers"
"Thank you for your review, please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you. Respectfully, , Lisa Shaw Administrator"
Matt was our estimator and gave us some good ideas to get our pool and yard usable in the hot Florida summer. His estimate was right on what the final cost was even with a few extras here and there. Danny was the contractor for the job and was very professional, as was everyone else we dealt with in this company. I met with Danny prior to the start of construction and he also gave a couple smart ideas that frankly I hadn't thought about. The project went well with my only issue being a periodic lack of communication. The crew was working shorthanded and seemed to be overlapping projects, which may be perfectly normal, but that delayed the completion time some. There were a couple days where we were told the crew would be working and they never showed up. I can deal with this and understand delays, but on these 2-3 times no one called to cancel and I had to make contact at night or the next day to find out when they would return.
Joseph, the owner promptly answered all my calls and made sure we were taken care of. Anyway, the communication wasn't a big problem and only worth a small mention. The job came out wonderful and we are 100% happy with the result. Everyone was a professional and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
"Thank you for your review, it's always wonderful to hear positive feedback from our customers, it is our goal to do top quality work and to provide exceptional service to our customers before, after and during the project, therefore I would like to thank you for pointing out the communication issues that you encountered during the construction of your screen enclosure with that information we will be able to improve our performance and customer service. Please feel free to contact us should you have any issues. Thank you. Respectfully, Joseph Morales Owner/President"
We are so happy with the work they did that we've already hired them to do another extensive remodeling project!
Despite the fact we were totally on the defensive as a result of our lives being turned upside down by the turn of events, the professionalism and sincere approach taken by the team quickly settled our nerves. After the initial in home consultation, and drafting of the estimate/scope of work, a few days were allowed to pass before the contract was finalized. The final home visit entailed a detailed plan of the project, and amazingly, an opportunity to make subtle changes to some of the plans. Upon signature of the contract and determination of the draw payment schedule, a standard 25% deposit was made to get the ball rolling. The first big thing was the delivery of materials to the house. If you have a big project, or any size of project for that matter, plan on losing some parking space in the driveway and/or garage. we ended up with 5 crates of travertine in the driveway, and drywall, mud, thin set, tools and supplies neatly organized in the garage. The project start date kicked off as scheduled but progress was impacted on the second day by unforeseen circumstances beyond anyone's control, minimal delays were incurred during this first phase, but, keep in mind, if you are a home owner, quality trumps all, and unless you involve yourself every step of the way and address the issues that come to mind you will quickly feel out of the loop. Remaining informed feeds much needed patience and communication must be maintained both ways! Immediately following the drywall work which included mudding and texturing, the travertine tile job began(longest phase) the attention to detail necessary for this work was evident. Everyday I checked in after work, I had the opportunity to watch (Marshall & Joseph) a few moments performing the tedious tasks of mixing & trolling mortar, setting stone, squaring and leveling and repeating a few tiles before they quietly cleaned up for the night and provided us their progress plan for the next day. Before we knew it, the entire floor beneath our feet had been transformed into a near flawless stage. Immediately following the tile install, a two man crew ( Adam & Marty) arrived and swiftly installed all sixteen doors throughout the house with perfect plumb and swing, then they dived right into installing nearly 1200 total linear ft of 5.25 inch base board and quarter round moulding. Lastly onto the bathrooms... This phase was the most daunting, yet once again, we were proved it was nothing to worry about! The team ( Quinn & Gary) operated in a synchronized effort that only occurs with an experienced and professional team. The first bath received a 39" high travertine wall treatment with bull nose border decorative stone detail borders which flowed into a full surround with travertine tile to the ceiling, complimenting the new (heavy) cast iron porcelain tub/shower. The master bath was redone from the ground up. The existing master bath with split shower/twas removed and replaced with a custom 4 ft x 9 ft walk in cave shower with dual shower heads with individual controls, 5" stoop and 59" wet bench . To continue with the travertine motif in bath #1,bath #2 received identical wall treatments in travertine. The entire shower was clad in travertine with decorative stone detail borders and recessed nooks for item storage. The open air way in the shower partition added unbelievable depth and design to the entire bathroom. Both baths received new vanities with custom granite tops and under mount sinks that perfectly compliment the design. Additional lights and ventilation units were also installed to improve ventilation and available lighting. We are thoroughly pleased with the results of the job. Oh by the way, this whole project was completed with out our family being displaced a single night! The courtesy and flexibility of the team to meet our "live in" needs during the adventure and still get the job done in spectacular fashion was truly amazing.
End result: an absolutely perfect job!
Thanks guys!
"Dear [member name removed], Please except our sincere apologies for your dissatisfaction with the length of time it took to complete your deck. As it was relayed to you the delays in the completion of your deck were because of the changes from the standard 36” railing in bronze color that was originally contracted, to a custom 30” railing in white color., Your deck was built in three working days and the railing install only took 4 hours had it not been delayed due to the changes you requested (at no additional cost to you) your deck would have been completed weeks ago. We are very pleased to know that you “Love your deck” as you stated in our phone conversation this morning. I’m sure your new deck will bring you years of enjoyment. Respectfully, Joseph Morales Link to finished deck: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=512569882126114&set=a.157052577677848.31808.156770274372745&type=3&theater"
