We had Jenkins come out and perform some much-needed electrical TLC on our 1970s home. The list of services we had performed are as follows. * Mount 6 Ceiling Fans. 5 of the fans required new wiring, as they were previously swag. * Add 4 new external outlets. We're big on our Christmas light displays. * Add 3 new 4' fluorescent lights (including the wiring) to our enclosed garage. * Add 1 additional outlet to our enclosed garage. * Add a GFI outlet to our half bath in our enclosed garage. * Fix a broken outlet in our master bedroom. * Add an additional outlet in the kitchen for microwave on a separate breaker. * Fix a broken post light. * Add 2 new vanity lights in the main bathrooms. * Add a new quad outlet in the living room. * Add a new outlet in our child's room for a wall-mounted TV. * Replace highly unsafe Federal Pacific panels inside and outside. In total, the work took 2.5 days. Disruption of electrical service to the house was minimal during the work, as they tried to limit outages to a single room at a time. They arrived early every single day to perform the work, and all work was extremely professional and without fault. We are extremely pleased with how quickly everything came together, how affordable the entire project was, and how professional Jenkins was. We've recommended them to family and friends, at least one of which has already sought out a quote for work for themselves after seeing the level of work performed at our house.

Mr. Jenkins responded as soon as possible even considering it was a non-emergency situation. He was able to locate the problem, even though it required climbing into an extremely hot and tight attic space. He repaired a defective splice and restored our power to all of the dead receptacles and lights. His bill for the service was very reasonable considering the trouble shooting and conditions involved. Professional, knowledgable and friendly.

Our house is on a hill with the electric pole behind our property line. The pole is lower than most since the land behind our home is lower than our property. Because of this the electric line actually pulls on the connection to our home. Because of the pulling of the line it has pulled the bolt about 3/4's or the way out of the fascia. One more good storm and it could possible be pulled all the way out. We have had the original repaired once previously by the electric company. Richard Jenkins came to our home a few days before to give us an estimate on attaching a galvanized steel pole to our house. Having it go through the eves section of our roof. Mr Jenkins recommended not having it go through our roof, he advised he wouldn't do this to his own home. It could cause problems down the road with the fairly new roof we have. Mr Jenkins came up with a plan to install a new bolt with two others attached to it for support. He even gave us a diagram so we could do the project ourselves. He said "because of the economy he understands how tight money is". We did decide to have Jenkins electric do the job. He scheduled with us for 8:00 am and he was 15 minutes early. He installed a different type of bolt than previously there. They are heavier and stronger and longer. He was a pleasure to work with and I would hire him for again for other electrical projects. I found Mr Jenkins to be personable, honest, and reliable.
