GRIFFIS & SON HARDWOOD FLOORING

After leaving a few messages, they returned call and came and gave me a quote and many references.  Every reference I called, quickly called me back and gave rave reviews.  
A few months later, I called to schedule the job.  Again I had to leave a few messages before getting a return call.    
Agreed on start date, in preparation I removed everything (except the really heavy stuff) from 5 rooms in my house, made arrangements to move family (including two school aged children) out of house for 5 days, day came and no one showed up.   Of course I panicked.  After several phone calls finally reached someone.  They explained that some of their crew didn't show up for work but they would be out the next day.  I crossed my fingers and we slept on the floor.  
The crew showed up the next day and got started.  They moved all of the heavy stuff (including a piano) and got to work.  Once the floors were sanded,  they took the time to show me several different combinations of stain and finishes.  I changed my mind about 4 times before they started staining but they were very patient with me.  
Job ran about 3-4 days longer than expected due to extensive termite damage in one room. They even had to rip out.a fireplace hearth.  Patched / repaired several spots throughout house and made new thresholds for me.  Once floors were dry, they moved the heavy stuff back in AND they reassembled our beds.  
I found it difficult to find anyone that was willing to refinish old floors much less at a reasonable price with great references.  Mr. Griffis, Joshua and their crew did a great job.  They may not be great with the phone but they more than make up for it once they are on-site.  They were respectful, clean and hard working.  I felt their charges were very reasonable and I'm happy to recommend them.
