+ -1 moreWhen he got here I took him around explaining what I wanted done. It says on his card that he does irrigation, but he has no state license to be doing so. After telling him my concern he said he would be the contractor and sub contract the irrigation out to a plumber he knows who has certification. He called me with an estimate on the phone of $2500 for the irrigation and $6000 for the sod and landscape. I ask for a proposal to be e-mailed to me and he said his wife would do that by Wednesday. That was 3 days ago and I have not heard a peep from this man or his company. He is totally unreliable!! Beware he will not be timely, leave you hanging and lies!! Your time is as good as his, so don't be fooled by him and all his big talk about what he can do. He was asking me how to do things and I had no idea, that is why I was looking to hire someone. Make sure they have the license to do the work and be able to pull the permit. If not you will be responsible!! Pass this along to all!
Description of Work: Over 2 weeks ago I had some stumps removed from cut down trees by Rob's Stump Grinding, which you can see my report in here on his great work. During the time on the phone I was asking him for an estimate, it had come up that I was getting estimates about a new irrigation system and all new sod and landscaping. He said he knew of someone who would do a great job and had worked for the sheriff's department. I ask him for a card, but he said he would call him. When he showed up a few days later to do the work he ask me if Jim had called and I said I never heard a word. He said let me get him on the phone and have him call. He went on to do the stump grinding and when finished he asked a couple hours later if Jim had called and I said no! He called him right then and in about 20 minutes he called to set up time to give me my estimate, which we did and he showed up. I am paying the company I hired $9000.
