Sarin Design
About us
A full service Interior Design firm specializing in residential design. We offer a variety of ways to work together, including full service on new home construction, renovations, additions, or simply to update your decor/furnishings. We work closely with a number of builders, yet we also have the option available for you to hire your own contractors. This works when a client is looking for guidance in the interior architectural details and materials, yet does not need the full servicing as they already have hired their architects and/or builders. Depending on the job scope, we also offer hourly contracts as well as commission scale contracts. Coming fall of 2017, we will also be hosting wine and design nights in the arts district of Delray Beach, as well as design workshops that are both fun and useful for you do it yourselfers. It also provides another option to plan for a girls night out! (Guys welcome too of course!) We are also participants in the Delray Beach art walk which is every first Friday of every month. Come get to know us! See what fun items we have in our place! And talk with our designers as well as special guests throughout the season. Stay tuned! Please check out our website, we have before and after photos for your viewing and special design packages will be featured in a few weeks!!!! Make sure to visit www.sarindesigns.com.

This was my first time working with an interior designer and the Angie deal for 2 hours was the right price to step in and understand the process and pricing along with whether my project would be a fit for Sarin Design and them for me. My home was a small project in contrast to the larger and more expensive projects in the area..
My other priority was seeing if my inarticulate 'non-design' gibberish/terminology was able to be translated into what I was trying to say or whether I would be pressured into the current colors and trends even if my personal selections were not current. If there was a 10 star rating system in this category, Sandra would get 11 stars.
Like most people, I had a budget but I was not in a rush nor had any particular deadline. I was willing to wait to get it right and make slow purchases along the way as my budget permitted. I knew this was not the traditional approach where entire rooms were decided at once. I've been plodding along piece by piece at my own turtle pace. Sandra's patience and professionalism never wavered.
I waited to write this review because of that slow pace and so I could show a before/after with walls painted, fabrics selected, window treatments installed and several pieces of furniture purchased. I have a new custom sofa which looks exactly as I pictured in a fabric that will withstand my 3 dogs, a beautiful merchant rack that will hold my TV, a gorgeous new chair in the softest fabric, and the most exquisite linen dining room window treatments that match the walls, floor and the decor perfectly.
My home has been transformed due to Sarin Design.
You can probably get her several ways. She is quite good at listening to what I want and working with me in terms of my choices, which I think is the key thing. Some designers are told what we want and they create what we want, but it is more their design. This was much more us wanting our design and her assisting us with our design. That would be the reason to go with her; if you want your own design and you want some help doing it. Big difference in the design world. Some people don't want to bother. We had some furniture pieces that we wanted to integrate into it and she was great with that. She was quite good to work with.
I would definitely use Sandy again. In fact, I am getting her help on selecting a paint color for the outside of our house! She is very fair and can quickly pull together a "look" for any room. Give her a shot, you won't be disappointed!
the room as yet because I am having the popcorn ceiling removed. I am very sure with that done the room will
look so much better, using the color we chose.
"Thank you very much [member name removed] ! I hope the color works out. The popcorn removal will give an updated look as well. One question for you, how was I not an "A" in punctuality? I was there a little bit earlier than scheduled. Please don't hesisitate to call with any other questions. Sandra"
If you are seeking someone who will treat you more as an afterthought and wont keep a promise (and change the deal at end) then look no further than Sandra.
I was a fool to believe all of her "pages of references", don't make the same mistake.

Regarding the contract, had I known she wanted $1K upfront instead of telling me 3 weeks into the project, I would NEVER had agreed. I found that completely DISHONEST. Verbal agreements with her are meaningless. Caveat Emptor!
"There is more behind this story than what [member name removed] has stated above. I met [member name removed] on Thursday May 23rd, this was our initial meeting. By Tuesday the 28th I had meetings lined up to start collecting bids for work to be done. Thursday the 30th I met [member name removed] and spent approx. 4 hours taking him to showrooms and selecting flooring materials. On June 4th I was by the jobsite, and on June 6th I met with the contractors and installers/painters. All budget was accomplished days after. Now, for what needs to be noted here is that this client and I agreed upon a bartering payment. I was trading project management for timeshare travel stay. We had a meeting June 14th to go over this because I kept requesting we sign a contract as to what the trade is before I invest more time. You can see from the above that I did alot on a trust basis with no secured contract/fee. I was told the timeshare options could sleep a certain amount of people and other details, and when we went to look at the options they were not as described. At this point I stated I am more than happy to keep helping him, yet perhaps we could do a retainer fee until the travel arrangements worked out. The retainer I was asking for was a small amount, pretty much the amount to cover the hours invested already. [member name removed] did not want to do this. It was a simple contract to sign that just stated what the trade was. To any of you who read this comment, please put yourself in my shoes. I was more than attentive to his needs, he basically received all the quotes, cabinet drawings, sources, material selections free of charge because I was trusting his word on our agreement. Being on the job every couple of days is not treating him like an afterthought. All I requested was something in writing and a minimal retainer and my contractors were ready to start today. This job would have been completed in 3 weeks as all the legwork was completed by me the last few weeks. That is incredible time for the amonut of work that was being quoted. It is a shame this was taken the wrong way, and that this was vented in public. I was shocked when Angie's list called me regarding this post. This was submitted on June 4th, and [member name removed] has been in contact with me since, asking me to look at quotes, places etc, never informing me that he felt this way. This comes down to reassurance of being in a signed contract. This situation was very easy to have had me invest another month of time and to be out of luck at the end. I am sure nobody wants to take the gamble of working free of charge for that long. This is very unfortunate, and I wish all would have worked out. I never walked off the job, I just requested a contract. Please read my other reviews below. I also have pages of references that I can give any person that may have interest in my company. I assure you I have never had this type of comment from any of my clients for my nearly 10 years of being in business here. Thank you for your time in reading my response."
