Price Flooring

Price flooring stated in a previous review that they “pride themselves on perfection”, our perfection is suboptimal. In fact, it does not even meet the manufacturer guidelines for installation. They are separating and warping. When you walk on the floor they snap crackle and pop. The worst part they will not respond to our calls. More updates to follow.

Installer claimed old carpet was saturated with dog urine and left it all in my garage. Charged me for removal. Removal was to my garage. Installer cut up my old carpet, rolled it up, taped it and moved it to my garage but was somehow too fussy to properly dispose of the old carpet. My view was he was just trying to cut costs by cheating a disabled veteran. House was empty for 18 months, carpet was professionally cleaned, and estimator saw no problems. Owner of Price Flooring, Ray, wouldn't refund disposal cost for my removed cleaned and dry carpet. Company is dishonest and doesn't honor it's contracts.

Their work was perfect, they were friendly and no mess.

The projects were completed in two phases over 3 months.  This was as planned.  In each case, the crews arrived on the scheduled day at the appointed hour.  They immediately began demolition and when this was complete, the plumber was there to install the necessary valves without causing any delay in the ongoing work.  The reconstruction of the walls which had been removed was seamless and work progressed as expected.  The plumber returned to install the trim as the tile work was completed without any delay in the process.  In each case, the jobs were completed within 4 days.  No need for any call back for any repairs.  As they had properly covered and sealed areas to avoid dust and to protect my wood floors, little evidence that someone had actually done such a massive job was evident.  They left my home as it was when they arrived.

Perfectly! Malcolm has previously installed tile in our home, so we were very happy to have him back. He showed up on time, and communicated when there was a delay. He helped resolve some issues from other vendors and was patient waiting for us when we were waiting on granite and plumbing to complete one area. Overall, I'm beyond thrilled with the job. The quality of materials and craftsmanship is incredibly impressive.
We've had Price Flooring do wood plank tile on our patio, carpet our upstairs, and our first floor tile. We buy our baseboards from them and am having new wood put down in our master bedroom next week.

They were really bad. It took them a whole year to do flooring in two bathrooms. That was a complete mess and they over sold on the tile and the flooring. They charged us for double the square feet. He subcontracted the work out and all of a sudden we had five different contractors asking us for checks. We told them that they needed to get their money from Price Flooring. The owner wouldn't answer the emails or anything. We are easy to get along with. We would not use them again and I would not recommend them. They took their money and sat on it for 10 months before they did anything. When they finally started the job they did fine. I don't know how they are still in business.

We contacted three different companies for new carpeting for a bedroom and walk in closet. Price Flooring was the best price and were very helpful in getting the job done on our timeframe. The work was perfectly done as well. We were very happy with the service.

provider did not know enough to include quarter round for the job....the installer found the mistake...then the provider did not order the quarter round and after the customer stopped by the store the provider still could not get the order right.  It was like the gang that could not shoot straight.  IT seems they have no oversight or follow through to see if all orders are complete before the install.  The people who do the install do a good job when they have the right goods to do the job.   One last thing...it  appears the order had about 25% more flooring than was needed for the job.

UPDATE
An email was sent on 8-27-14 requesting a credit for the extra box of flooring which was over-ordered by the provider. As of 9-12-14 I've still yet to receive a response from the provider.

They are fabulous.  They have some of the finest tile layers I have ever seen and I work myself with ceramic and porcelain tiles so for me to say that is a lot.  They were time, they got me my product, they had given me a tremendous discount and they were so nice.  The owners even came out to look at the project while it was being done to make sure it was being done properly.  It is family owned and they are very conscientious.  They are unbelievable.

The first job went great and I re-hired them again to do 3 additional jobs in the house. It's a true sign of our pleasure with them that we had them come back again a few times to do additional jobs. Based on this success, my mother in law also hired them to do carpet work in her condo.  We went to the store and they let us go home with tile and laminate samples plus they ordered carpet samples for us shipped directly to our house. They then came to our house to take measurements and provided a quote. They worked with us on pricing as well. You pay up front for the materials and they take credit cards for that. After the install is complete and you're satisfied, you pay their installer separately by check. I did have one problem during installation but they worked it out for me and resolved it. In one area, we were replacing tile with laminate. The original people who removed the tile did not remove all the thinset from the floor (which they were supposed to do) and it was not ready for the laminate install. I called the store and they worked it out among their installers so that they removed the thinset and prepped it for laminate installation at no additional cost to me.
When we renovate our powder room and second bathroom next year, I am most likely going to hire them to do not only the floor and tile work, but probably the entire job.

Price Flooring were fine. They did their part and their job.

We were pleased to not only find the tile that we wanted but the installation would start on Monday. While the cost of the tile itself was on the high side the installation made it cost effective. The installer showed up on Monday, mid afternoon and immediately got to work. He was finished by Thursday morning. On Wednesday I was looking over the invoice and noticed that there was a .95 a box charge (410 boxes) for SETMAT MARMASTER which was a total charge of $389.50. When I called the store to question this I was told that their computer sytem improperly labels that and that is their guaranteed. I also found out that I could not return any overage on the tile because it was special ordered. Neither of these items were properly explained at the time of purchase.

We walked in with our cabinet samples for the kitchen so we could match it to the counters and the floor. We picked out a nice porcelain floor that had a wood grain look to it. Lee Eggert was very knowledgeable as well and offered some great advice. He gave us the pros and cons between the porcelain and ceramic floor and I am glad we ended up going with the porcelain. The store had so much variety to choose from as well. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Do not buy from this store, they have horrible service, switch out products after you order it and have no professional delivery service, it's two workers from the store.
We picked a tile from the store only to be told when we went to order that it was suspiciously sold (even though we were there at closing time and the employee called the warehouse to inquire about the quantity in stock)  We were then told that they could get a new lot and it would be the same. We ordered one box to check, it arrived the same so we ordered after being told we had 3 hours to make up our mind about ordering or they wouldn't deliver that week.  Apparently they deliver once a week-ridiculous.  Imagine our surprise when the tile arrived at our house and it was NOT the same as the box we ordered. The tile was delivered late and after dark, with no apologies from the owner and no interest in finding out what went wrong we were given an option to get our money back. Instead we were told that they had a big order that week and even if they found the original tile it would be a whole week before redelivery. Unacceptable since we had our installer already waiting for the tile. We knew from the beginning that our gut was telling us not to work with this store, but we really liked the tile that we thought we ordered. Between unexplained price differences for the same tiles to horrible customer service and in the end-cheap tiles. They weren't all perfectly flat and we had to redo several where the ends were higher than the middle of the tiles. Our installer said it was cheaply made and had more irregular tiles than usual.
Do not buy from this store.

Know that this company subcontracts the labor.  In our view, the company is equally responsible and liable for everything about its subcontractors' and representatives' dealings with the customer. We had issues with the install and then issues when they tried to correct the issues.  At first the subs would not take responsibility for what went wrong - they accused one of our other contractors and suggestion was also made a couple times that we caused some of the issues. There was also no regard for the value of our time. We waited at home on the subs to come fix the issues - sometimes they did not show at all or chose to arrive at a different time. When they did show, other issues came about from their work. It took days and sometimes weeks to get someone back here. We lost time at work and on other matters in our lives.  We spent a lot of time making calls, sending emails and even went to the company to make our complaints. At this moment, my latest call has again gone unanswered and
items promised by their rep in an effort to make-nice not delivered.  We were not going to write about our experiences because the people at the company and the subs were genuinely nice people and know some of our family members. But my husband and I are consumers in this instance and we are also business people. On a consumer level--the service we received once the problems started was, as you have now read, unacceptable and caused us great stress and loss of time. On a business level, we are confused because we would not treat our own clients in this manner, nor would they accept such treatment.  We doubt the company and its subcontractors and reps would find it acceptable either if they were the consumer instead of the vendor.

Price Flooring did an incredible job carpeting my upstairs/stairs. Their sales team was incredibly knowledgeable and made sure I had a product that I would love and that would last. I thought the price was incredibly fair.  The installer was fast, friendly, and clean. I've also recently purchased pieces of carpet that they turned into rugs for me. I'll be tiling my first floor in the next few months and won't shop anywhere else.

Price Flooring was recommended by a friend. I had an idea of what I wanted as far as design, color, tile, etc. The salesperson Nicole at the store was very knowledgable and pointed me in the right direction. We picked out exactly what I had in mind. They came out to install the tile a few days later. All the floors in the condo were tiled along with the walls in the shower and bathtub. The job came out beautiful and exactly the way I wanted. Overall, they provided a great product and service.

Went to Price Flooring and picked out tile.  They said they would contact me when it comes in.  Told me it would be a day and 1/2 job.  After two weeks of not hearing from anyone I decided I better call them to see how much longer it would take.  Apparently the tile had been there and no one bothered to contact me to set up an install date.When I did get an install date the guy showed up and proceeded to move appliances and take out the floor.  Much to my surprise after he left for the day he left the stove moved out where I wasn't able to get to my drawer.  The next day he moved the frig and when he left for the day he left the frig positioned against the stove and I couldn't open my frig door or use the stove.  Huh.  Guess I'll eat out...again.After two full days it still wasn't finished (and this is a small kitchen)  and I had to contact someone to let them know that this needed done because I'm not able to use my stove or get into my frig.   Finally late morning two guys showed up to finish the job.
The following morning I went over to the wall next to my window and notice a big glob of grout that was used instead of a small piece of tile.  My daughter came over and looked at it and then contacted Sam (the sales guy) and told him that this looked horrible and Sam said he would contact Fabio and set up a time for him to come look at it.  It's been 3 days and I'm still waiting for Fabio to contact me.
When they finished the guys vehicle left oil leaks in my driveway and he had to come back and clean that up...which he didn't get cleaned and it's still there.

Contacted Price Flooring again today ( it's now been 5 days ) and of course they past the buck saying it was someone else's fault.  Apparently we weren't put on the "contact" list so Fabio hasn't gotten in touch with us.  Whew!  Why not just give me Fabio's phone number and I can call him directly & avoid all the he said/she said,  I'll call/they'll call issues.

I was very satisfied.  Their price wasn't the lowest but their work was outstanding.  Their workers were very professional, cleaned up after themselves, and the floors look beautiful.  I've seen other floors but I believe the work they did outshines others in comparison.
