LA RUE FURNITURE

when we arrived at La Rue we noticed they had most of the shopping center with their signs on it, but a lot of the showrooms were empty. When we went into the store we could not believe how they had everything shoved in so tight and cramped. First of all I was in my wheelchair and it was very frustrating that my husband could not push me through the isles to see any furniture. A sales man greeted us and I said the store was jammed so tight I couldn't fit through to look at anything and he said "just move the furniture out of your way to get through" Little did he know, we are looking to furnish a large home and he would of had a great sale but I was furious about the comment and mad that I could not see the furniture even within a few feet. Well my husband had to leave me sit and wander around between a cramped in showroom to see if we liked anything. He was mad also because if he wanted me to see something he could not get me close to the furniture with the wheelchair. The store had all of that empty space with things smashed together. I guess they are closing off some of the store. The salesman was also trying to push a certain style of chair on us to buy. It was one of the few I could see up close. My husband said he didn't like it but the salesman kept insisting and started a bargaining session. His price was too high for a chair we did not like and I really wanted to tell them off about the store not being wheelchair accessible but we just left instead. I will make sure that anyone I know will not shop at La Rue. I did get to at least say to him on the way out that we are going to buy a whole house of furniture somewhere!! We have bought many pieces for different rooms of our home at 4 other stores so far and all of the stores showrooms were layed out properly to be able to go through and see everything even in the wheelchair. I read reviews online before we went to la rue and someone else rated them with the title La Rue-La Rip! They were right. The few items that I was able to see weren't even good quality for the prices. So, if you want to pay high prices for average furniture and you are SUPER,SUPER-SKINNY to fit through the showroom, knock yourself out then and shop at La Rue. lol
