Garbage Collection
I disassembled an old rusted out barbecue grill and removed all the nonmetalic parts made of plastic and piled the junk into my car. Delray Scrap Recycling opens at 7:30am. They're easy to find, they're located at the end of Poinsettia Drive (don't go down Georgia Street or you'll have to drive through a rutted out dirt road, turn on Poinsettia Drive instead.) They don't weigh your vehicle with the stuff in it, instead they pile everything you're selling into a big metal bucket and weigh the bucket. Be sure to bring your driver's license (they have to record your personal information for the police to make sure the scrap you're selling isn't stolen.) I got about $10 for the junky grill, that may not sound like a lot but it's properly recycled and you get nothing for throwing it in a garbage bin like all the lazy morons do. I'd rather have the $10. Their webpage says they're open for a few hours on Saturday.
