Our dream is to transform every yard into each clients vision of their personal private Landscape paradise. We plant unique plant species to make every garden distinctly different. We grow many of the beautiful palms, colorful shrubs, trees and Orchids we use in our designs. Consultation appointments are available to tour our unique and exotic Nursery to preview plants for use in our landscaping projects.

Shelly came to look over our landscaping and give us a budget to redesign and install new landscaping. She was very condescending, making insulting comments about the existing pavers and landscaping. I asked where she would ballpark our job. She said over $100,000. We have a 3000 s.f. house on probably 1/8 acre lot. Smallish. I was floored by her estimate and her attitude about our home, which looks the same as the other 25 homes in my subdivision. And they all are well kept and look good. Also, they all look the same, so I have no idea why she thought I would/could change the look of my pavers and driveway when every house she drove by on the way in looks exactly the same. Maybe she quoted that high of a number because she didn't want the job. But no need to be insulting. I texted her to tell her we're going in a different direction because her budget was too high, and she never responded. Seemed like a bother for her to come here and she thought she was above the neighborhood. I don't recommend talking to her.

Shelley is an artist! She completely transformed my property, which now looks like a botanical garden. Palms, succulents, colorful plants and flowers - and the birds are flocking to my yard. Ms Crawford has made my yards the envy of the neighborhood for six years now. She comes 4 to 6 times per year as needed. She built a trellis and keeps it trimmed. I highly recommend Butterflies ? are free.

After finally receiving a call back a few days after I left my initial message, the owner followed up and came over for the initial consult. While she may know plants, her disposition is somewhat off putting and not very professional. I had explained that we were looking to enhance our existing landscaping and noted that our budget is $3,000. I was immediately told that it would cost the owner about $1,600 to just get her crew out to my property (not sure why a potential customer needs to be advised of that, especially during the first 5 minutes of the meeting). That was prior to us discussing the types of plants that would potentially be installed. She proceeded to rip apart the existing landscaping and appeared rushed throughout the appointment, which lasted about 15 minutes. This is a single such experience from 4 different designers that we actually received quotes from. My appointment was over a week ago, and I am yet to hear from the company. I imagine based on my initial experience that our $3,000 budget was not significant enough and the owner's overall disposition did not leave me with and impression that our hard-earned money and somewhat of a decent budget was worth her time. Fortunately, we found a landscape design company through Angie's List that provided us with a completely opposite experience and we are very happy with!

The work was done in a span of 6 hours. The team did exactly what I wanted done and more. The clean up was complete and the branches were all taken away in a large dumpster. The area was then raked. The price was very good. The process was very professional and efficient and I would use this company again.

Our large backyard backs up to a nature preserve. It was very important that our landscaping work together with the backdrop of the nature preserve. We also wanted to 'open up' our views into the nature preserve. Shelley's design was perfect, and her crew worked tirelessly for several days to reconfigure planting beds and install plants. We will engage Butterflies are Free to do maintenance on the completed work. We will also supplement this review with photos once plants are well established and in full bloom. Better than we hoped for. We have a large yard with "old growth" trees and aging plants and hedges that had been left in sad shape from the many storms. Shellie took her time understanding what we wanted, carefully planned the layout and then delivered way more than expected. It is a completely different home! The many colors and textures work so beautifully together and the garden retained it's "Old Florida" appeal with a fresh feeling. So happy we decided to give Butterflies are Free a try.

Shelley Crawford and her team do a great job. The patio is now ready to be enjoyed. The summer heat and rain are brutal, and it is a joy to once again have it back to being a place to relax and enjoy wine with friends.
They worked quickly and efficiently, cleaned up beautifully. The patio had recently been cleaned and you would never know that so much landscape work had been done since the pressure washing.
