1st Locksmith

The technician gets here. And then all of a sudden it's a whole new story. "Well, i gotta do this, then this, then this." I was furious. I had him call the "office" and the office gives you a line of baloney, these guys are all con rip-off scam artists.  Total double talk.  Typical bait and switch.  I paid, because I had no choice, right, that's how these things work. And guys like this do not care, they NEVER get repeat business.  That's the story. Buyer beware.

We were locked out on the day after Thanksgiving- the bottom lock on our door did not work anymore because a few months ago, the key broke off inside it. We had been using just the dead bolt. But today, we forgot that the bottom lock did not work and locked it. When we arrived home- we remembered that the piece of the key was still inside and we could not open the door. We called a locksmith who sad it would be at least an hour before he could get to us. So we called 1st Locksmith. Someone answered the phone (no menu!) immediately. We explained that we needed help and were told the locksmith would call us right away. He called in about 10 minutes. He told us it was $29 for the visit plus whatever the service would be. He had to drill the lock- that cost $100. Tyhe bill would be $130.00 plus tax. He suggested we replace the door knob and lock- we did- for another $95. Moishe was quick, professional and seems to be honest. We could have just had the lock drilled and left it at that and aved the $95, but Moishe said at some point the door would probably jam and would not open. I know nothing about locks, so took his word for it and went for the $95 to replace the lock and door knob. The one that was on there was more than 30 years old so...
