I hired this mover to move my furniture to a house I rented during my divorce. I had used this mover a few years previously with no complaint. The mover gave me an estimate. After everything got moved into the new place, he told me that the move had taken longer than expected and he demanded $600.00 more. I was not in a position to argue, so I gave it to him, but I'll never recommend it to anyone. As far as I'm concerned, he's lost a customer.

We've moved our office five times in the last eighteen years. We've always been very pleased with the results. We called a number of companies and settled on Osborne's because he was the only one who said he could move medical storage cabinets with files intact. The other four moving companies said they could not. The cabinets were described in detail to Mr. Osborne, just as they were described to the other moving companies. Osborne appeared, as scheduled, with two other men. They all appeared very chipper. Mr. Osborne looked at the cabinets and said he could not move them full. He said, "We're not supermen." We reminded him of the phone call and that we chose him because he had indicated that it would not be a problem. He denied that that conversation ever took place. So, two fifty+ year old women, a five mo. pregnant woman and a community service worker, then had to pack the approx. 1,000 files into boxes. (If we would have had them pack them, which they never offered to, it would have cost us much more money. In addition the files had to be packed very carefully, alphabetically and by year.) We noticed that Mr. Osborne's mood changed drastically and he seemed "put-out." When we have had movers before, they were much more organized, usually sending one of their men ahead to scope out where everything would be placed. This did not occur with Osborne's. When they arrived at the new place, Mr. Osborne immediately announced that he could not "guarantee" that a couch could fit through the door. He said this several times, making the owner of the couch very nervous. They were able to fit the couch through, like every other mover has, by taking the legs off and the door off of the hinges. Boxes were marked by name, as to whose office each would go into. They never asked whose office was whose. Thus, all the boxes were put in the back room, which necessitated the two fifty+ year old women and the pregnant woman lugging all of the very heavy boxes back out of the room, which took two days to re-arrange. Mr. Osborne and one of the other men appeared very agitated through out the process. At the end of the move, I again spoke to Mr. Osborne about the phone conversation we had re: the medical cabinets. He stated that they were too heavy to move. I reiterated that I was not arguing that point, only that he had said they would move them and that is why we had chosen his company. He denied this again. I also told him that many boxes that belonged in other offices were now piled in the back room and that it would take us much time and work to sort it all out. Mr. Osbourne stated that they had put the boxes back there because, "There was no one available to tell us where to put them." I was there the whole time and certainly responded as to where to place things, WHEN ASKED. Lesson: If four movers tell you they can't move something, don't believe the fifth who says he can!!

My 85-year-old father called Steve after he was recommended by the local U-Haul dealer in Orange City, FL. Steve returned my dad's calls promptly and was very courteous. My dad drove from AL to pick up the piano at my house. Steve and his crew showed up on time on the appointed day. They were very polite and respectful to all of us, especially my dad. In very little time, they had the piano through the front door, up the ramp, and on the truck. Steve and my dad settled up, then Steve gave me a number of his business cards to distribute to my friends. I would not hesitate to recommend him or call him myself. He did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it, and was very pleasant about it, even though he and his crew were doing the work in the blazing Florida heat!
