Unit had problem 6 mos later, and he returned within one day to fix.
Very pleasant.

We had just purchased a vacation home in Ormond Beach, FL. We were aware that it would need several things including an HVAC system. My realtor had recommend JJ Douglas Services for an estimate. I had in the mean time joined Angie's list to be able to check a multiple of providers we would need this year. JJ Douglas was there which further confirmed my feelings.
When I called JJ he returned my call within an hour. He came to the house twice to review the job and look at some additional duct work to a sunroom which had none. I then asked him about adding a UV filteration lighting system and he made several recommendations. We added this to the contract for a very reasonable price and for a system which was much better than his competitors had priced. He also said he would build a complete new stand in the garage for the new unit as the old system had been literally "hung on the wall".
Most impressive was I had wanted to get the ducts cleaned because the house had been sitting for awhile as it was a foreclosure and had been built in 1987. JJ volunteered to come out early and disconnect the system to allow "Chuck's Ducts" (another great provider) full access to the internals so a thorough cleaning could be performed. He then returned after "Chucks Ducts" had completed his job. This put him late into the evening but he stayed for the duration to insure we had air conditioning for the night. He found several components which were old and burned out. He did not charge for the additional work but I was so impressed I paid him extra anyway! Great Job. Unbelievable Service. Coming back this week to install the extra ducts which I just approved yesterday. We have a large home with 4 HVAC units in VA and wish I could take JJ back with me to service my units there. It is quite obvious I will never call anyone else in the Daytona Beach area for HVAC services!!
JJ's price was right in the middle of all the rest but he was worth MORE than the rest I am quite sure.....

J.J. Douglas repairs spa heaters and we used him in October 2010 to repair our heater.  Our heater went out again this week and we called him back.  He showed up promptly, fired up the spa heater and it fire up right away.  He stated that sometimes the ignitor gets wet and it needs days to dry out.  He did not charge us for the service call.  We will absolutely call him again.
