Actual removal was OK. Supervisors departed before job was complete. A large debris pile was left where the removed tree had been and it was explained to us that it had to burry the stump for a month. I expected the removal of the debris pile after a month...nothing. We've called them several times...nothing. This last week I finally got to the stump as I've slowly removed the debris pile. The stump exhibits no grinding and is level with the level of the lawn. I am NOT pleased with "JON DAVIS TREE SERVICE and would never hire them again. It appears to be a case of "got the money, screw him".

Work was promised to be within certain time frame and was completed as promised even though they were very busy at that time. Job and clean up completed for a very reasonable price

I Highly recommend Davis Tree Service!. We had a large dead tree that needed to be removed. John responded the same day to my estimate request . His estimate was quite fair and reasonable so we hired him. As with most tree companies his ability to do the work depended on his schedule of jobs. Several of the other companies gave estimates of over a month later to do the work. Within days of our original meeting Hurricane Dorian became a major threat. John wasn't sure initially if he could get to the job in time because of all his prior commitments. We were nervous because of the tree's threat to our home and our neighbor"s home. Then today he arrived, well before the storm winds. He completed the work of removing the large tree in less that 2 hours! His equipment was first rate with a cherry picker, huge debris hauling truck, and back hoe. The clean up was perfect. He even made short work of a dead tree for our neighbor. Thankfully the storm changed course today, but John's consideration and professional competence were quite a relief and very much appreciated!!

Excellent. Brought in a crew of 5 with a caravan of equipment and knocked job out in about 5 hours including stump grinding. Also were about 25% less expensive then other quotes.

We had a difficult tree removal in the backyard. For any direction it would fall, it would break something (house, pool screen, power line, fence). John Davis and his crew managed to cut down the tree in pieces and cart it off. Well done!

Amazing job. Everyone was very professional, they came well prepared and had the entire job completed in a few hours. We even needed a few additional trees taken care of on short notice and they were very accommodating. Far exceeded our expectations and had the best quote.

They came out promptly and did a great job. Most of all, their price was very affordable.

Owner showed up within a couple days. Ours was a smaller job so he told me he would just have his crew show up within the next two weeks between other jobs to cut the tree down. Less than a week later I came home one day and the tree was gone. Very satisfied with responsiveness and cost. Would definitely hire again.

They did a great job, came in with a bucket truck and a bob cat to pick up and move the debris. They worked carefully and as a team to get the job done quickly and safely. They also cut up and took away another large limb that had previously fallen in my yard. Can't say enough good stuff about John Davis and his crew. They do excellent, safe work and are very polite. For the 3 hours of work done, they were a bargain. I will recommend them and will also use them again for future tree work!

They had the tree removed and 2 stumps ground down in less than 2 hours. I was very impressed The guys cleaned up after themselves and did not tear up the yard with their equipment. I will definitely use them again.

I made an appointment to get a free quote from Mr. Davis as well as two other tree service companies.  Davis Tree Service beat competitive bids by $125 per tree and he was a local buisness in DeLand, so I decided to hire him.  He gave me a service date of April 28, 2016, which was about 5 days out and I was not in a huge rush to get the work done.

Davis and 2 other members of his crew arrived as scheduled in the morning on April 28th.  They came equipped with chainsaws, a cherry picker, a Bobcat and a truck to haul away the trees.  I mentioned that I would like to keep some of the smaller logs so that I could cut them into firewood and he said he would leave me the upper tree sections after he stripped off the branches.

I let them go to work and checked back with them about 4 hours later.  When I went outside I saw that all 6 trees had been removed, the stumps were in the process of being ground down, the trees were load for hauling away and a nice pile of firewood was left for me.  Best part is he cut the firewood logs into smaller pieces and left them in a pile so I don't have to do anything but put them on a fire.  After the last stump was ground, he removed the remaining brush from the cut area (I was having a metal building installed), and leveled the dirt.  I had only paid to have the trees removed and stumps ground, so it was a very nice surprise to see a pile of precut firewood and perfectly cleared and leveled area for my metal building.

Davis Tree Service performed beyond my expectations and I would not hesitate to hire them again for addition tree trimming and removal.  They are honest, reliable and true to their word.  A great company.
