The crew showed at the arranged time and consisted of a large bucket truck with the driver who was also the professional tree trimmer. Additional equipment included a large wood chipper. The additional crew of 3 workers helped with the clean up of the large tree logs and branches and then cut the hedge while taking great care to not damage the adjacent flower garden. They were meticulous in cleaning up all of the debris and all worked in a professional and fast manner. They interacted with my husband and all were courteous and mannerly. We were amazed at the speed at which they were able to complete all of the work and would recommend this company and it's workers to anyone. I interacted with both the estimator and the office manager and both were prompt and professional in all of my dealings with them. Great company..... This was our first experience with Angie's List and we are completely satisfied. One last comment. We also were given a discount for going through Angie's List for finding and booking the service through them.
I called the CFB Outdoor phone number as soon as my insurance company (State Farm) told me to get someone to remove it and submit a bill to them. Within 30 minutes Jay and a crew of five guys came rolling up to the house in trucks loaded for bear with equipment. The cost was a little pricey, but I figured State Farm was going to cover it through the homeowner's policy... wrong.
The crew had that 20 or so feet of the tree which was on the roof (plus another 30 feet of the trunk) off the roof, ground into mulch, and all but done in less than an hour. Jay came back two days later with a truck and trailer, skip loader and more guys and dragged the roots (which had broken when the tree took that nap on my roof) to the trailer and hauled it off. All in all, they were quick to the job site, worked hard, worked fast, and did a good job. Then I found out about my deductible being higher than the cost, so State Farm skated on that one and my credit card got nailed.
Would I use them again? You bet I would. I know of two more sand pines and a dead oak that have got to come down, and then I'm going to have them clear the dead wood/trees out of a half acre where 31 more sand pine trees came down during the hurricanes in 2004.
"Hi [member name removed], I just spoke with Lamar about your job; he said he was not aware of any broken sprinkler pipes, that the bucket truck stayed on your driveway the whole time the guys were working. He said that you and him walked the property before the crew left to make sure that everything was satisfactory, and that you gave him a tip! We would be happy to fix or replace any and all sprinkler parts that were damaged by us,please call the office at 386.774.2056 or Lamar at 386.804.1278 if you would like to arrange a time for someone to come out."
