AVOID AT ALL COST!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. COMPLACENT, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND ASSUMES PEOPLE ARE MONEY BANKS. LACKS UNDERSTANDING OF BASIC PAINTINGIN KNOWLEDGE, AND WILL COMPLETELY DISREGARD YOUR FAMILY AS LONG AS HE GETS PAYED. I reached an agreement to have Isaac remove my popcorn ceiling, paint my walls/ trimming in my home, and it has been the worst financial decision I have made. Isacc did remove the popcorn ceiling effectively, however he left my home in an unlivable can of dust, completely unbearable for our newborn. This was only made worse by Isaac not properly cleaning after himself or covering the furniture within our home adequately. Furthermore, Isacc looked to have employed some family members/friends, WHOM LEFT A CHEWED-UP BOTTLE CAP ON MY NEWBORNS CRIB! When I called him out about this, he showed little remorse and tried to dismiss it a simple mistake; no that is complacency/carelessness. Isaac failed to remove the ceeling vent grills, and when complete, he forgot to screw both screws on two of the vent grills. Come on!? This was only the beginning as when he continued to paint our homes walls, there were multiple spots that he simply forgot to paint or frankly ignored. On two occasions I had to spend an hour to mark those spots with tape so that he could go and retouch these areas. When I showed him the deficiencies, he became visibly bothered, took the marking tape off, and in multiple areas forgot to again correct his mistakes (complete complacency). This became a grieving issue as I had to do on the spot corrections on spots he skipped over (wasting my time). On one of these occasions I politely reminded him of areas where he had removed tape and completely ignored to patch up to him responding that he “knew what he was doing”; I had to correct this issue. On another occasion, I watched him take a short cut by not removing the curtain fixtures (which is one of many personal items which he got paint on), mentioned the deficiency to him, only for him to respond with “it will be alright, don’t worry about it”. Sure enough, I had to this issue myself (clean the paint/ paint the area). THE BIGGEST AND WORST ISSUE, was how he painted my door and door-trim. Despite having a written contract highlighting that sanding and priming were to be conducted as needed, Isacc never did this. On multiple occasions he insisted that he had done so prior to me arriving home, however, my wife assured me that she never saw him do that and the outcome of his works proves this. Isacc’s lack of professionalism/competency can be seen by him applying latex paint to a large portion of our home’s interior without sanding/priming accordingly and distinguishing the fact that they were previously painted with oil pain. THIS HAS CAUSED A HUGE MESS IN OUR HOME, AS SEVERAL AREAS THAT WERE PAINTED ARE NOW PEELING AND WILL COST US THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO REPAIR. I foresaw this being an issue when he was working in my home, however he again assured me that what he was doing would work. Lastly, during this process we provided a different tone of white from what we asked Isaac to use. He allegedly didn’t notice till “he painted %50 of our ceiling” , and told us “don’t worry about it though, I have gone ahead and painted it using the right color, it will come out beautiful, and I will charge you cheaply”. I QUESTION THE INTEGRITY OF THIS MAN AND THE PRICE FOR THE ALLEGED WORK THAT HE DID, WHICH WE/HE CANNOT PROVE, WAS $500.
