Eddie was the only one of 3 vendors to return my call.  He showed up promptly the next day and made some recommendations.  We discussed a threshold regarding cost, but he did not give us a quote before beginning work.  This was understandable as he needed to do some work to assess the situation.  The work was completed within a reasonable time and the quality of the work was good.
Upon completion he left a hand written invoice which did not provide much detail.  My bookkeeper requested a W9 before submitting payment.  Eddie said he would text a photo of it and mail it as well.  My bookkeeper did not receive the text, but a couple days later did receive the W9 in the mail & mailed a check the same day.
This is where it went sideways.  Eddie called to find out why he hadn't received his payment yet.  My bookkeeper explained that he had received the W9 and mailed the check that day.  Eddie then accused him of lying, saying that he was told a check would be mailed out the same day.  What he had been told was that, "it would not be a problem to get the check out that day as long as we got a W9."  Eddie demanded we cancel the check ($25 expense to us) and issue him one in person.  He said he would be in the next day to pick it up (even though he knew there was not one available.)  This came across as a veiled threat to make trouble.
In the end we cut him a new check and caught the postman before the mail went out, so we didn't have to incur the extra expense of canceling the check, but the whole relationship was soured as a result of this unpleasant experience.  I know contracting can be a rough industry and there are a lot of people who will rip you off, but being accusatory and combative is a p*** poor way of dealing with customers.

Eddie got back with me right away.  He discussed the job and gave me an estimate of what was to be done. He was very honest as far as any questions or concerns I had. I thought he was very professional. He was prompt and on time.  Everything was done and things were cleaned up as needed. I would definitely recommend his services.

Did great job overall. Was happy with everything and appreciated he kept with original bid.

These cabinets were not designed to be hung but working with the manufacturer, Eddie was able to securely hang all our cabinets in excess of manufacturer recommendations. He was diligent in the quality of the materials he used for this project. I feel quite confident in the quality of his work and plan on using him for other projects around our home. 

Repaired drywall/ repainted accent wall and removed carpet due to water damage in our rental property. He and his co-workers were very friendly, punctual and professional. They were extremely attentive to my needs throughout the entire process. The best part was that we were interested in replacing the AC unit, and he was able to do that as well....all within a two day period. Once the repairs were complete, they cleaned up the mess and placed occupant's belongings back in place. Mr. Thompson's Maintenance Service is definitely the "go to" place for professional home repairs! I loved their work!

It took Eddie 3 or 4 days to get started due to weather and also because *I forgot to call him back. He was definitely worth the wait. He takes his time to do quality work but still manages to work quickly. He took the time and extra effort to make sure AC installed in way no one could steal it or crawl in through the window. He double and triple checked door and its locks to be sure it was not only secure but would smoothly open & close. I don't trust a lot of people, but I do trust Eddie. It's obvious he enjoys and takes pride in his work.

He was very professional and very knowledgable. He took on more than just the surface issue he fixed the root cause and helped clean up our overall wiring in the attic. He also did a few small items for our renters while he was there. Great result could not be happier.

Made an appointment for meeting contractor and getting an estimate.
Contractor called and was always prompt.  Workers were polite and
professional.  Job was completed to our satisfaction.

I have an old house, 1930’s, and he was the only one that fixed the five foot attic fan.  He replaced the belts, replaced the motor, and other parts.  He is great about answering questions.  He's just wonderful!
