Wayne Garrett is a fine painter with artistic sensibility that’s expressed in his precision, detail, rolling, and hand-painted edge, trim, and baseboard work. If Rembrandt painted houses, he’d still have difficulty competing with Garrett. Wayne’s that good and that much an artist. Wayne’s bidding process is thorough, considered, and his pricing is fair. His work ethic matches his integrity. Before hiring, I asked him what if while painting my condo he was offered the job of his dreams. He said, “This is the job of my dreams.” And for four days he gave me and my place his undivided talent and attention. He treated my house as if he were painting his masterpiece, and he treated me as if I were his most valued client. In the end, Wayne transformed my dull, dingy walls, doors, and rusted closet slammers into luxurious entry ways and portals, seemingly into another world of shining, dazzling brilliance. Wayne Garrett is an artist, truly.

We got Wayne's name and telephone # from a neighbor who had hired him to paint her townhouse (after having interviewed 2-3 other painters/painting companies).  When we first called Wayne, we didn't even know his last name.  Wescheduled a convenient interview time, explained what our ideas were and he walked through our home taking notes and explaining how he would be doing what we were interested in.  We learned a lot and got new ideas listening to him share information with us. As he said, he contacted us within a day or two and gave us an estimate.  I must tell you, even before the estimte I wanted to hire him.  He is knowledgeable, professional and has a perfectionists attitude.  I did not even do a second interview.
Wayne began working.  He is neat to the point of meticulous!  A true artistic perfectionist.  He finished ahead of schedule or on schedule.  He workes around contractor's and carpenter's schedules and still got his work done. We were comfortable giving him a key to our home, and he still let us know when he would be there.
His work is impecable, and seriously, he made our staircase a piece of artwork!  The new area of ceiling (wood) that had to be stained to match the original are was perfect to our standard.  His finished product exceeded our expectations, and we would only use him again, and definitely refer him to anyone looking for a skilled painter and stain person.  Probably not the cheapest, but the best rarely is..DEFINITELY worth every dollar in quality work done and time saved.

Wayne painted the exterior of our house. He was the highest cost of the all the estimates we received and we negotiated a reasonable price for the painting in line with the rest of the bids.  All other painters were going to pressure wash the house before painting. Wayne was the only one who would scrape and seal our house which sold us on his services.  We have a 60 year old house and many years of old paint we wanted removed if possible..  When every other painter planed on 3 to 4 days to paint the house Wayne took almost 3 weeks.  It took Wayne over a week just to scrape and prep the surface. The time spent was well worth the price as the final product was overall way above the usual standard of painters that spray paint a house. By the way he uses rollers and brushes for a better overall finished product.  He hand paints the edges for a fantastically clean look.  Overall we can?t complain much other than the time but in today?s world of people needing instant gratification having a quality job done was well worth the cost and extra time. Nicely done and proud to show it off!
