We were completely taken advantage of this individual. Constant lies and delays. After abandoning the job, we started legal action for breach of contract and through our investigations with the sub contractors found out that he had forged estimates, endorsed and deposited checks that were written to other companies.
Furthermore, we found court records that showed multiple arrests.
We were advised by our attorneys that we had little chance of recovering any of the more than $100000 we had to pay to complete the abandoned work and have chosen not to waste additional money on legal fees.
Hope this helps, as all we can do at this time is try and save someone else the pain we went through.
