Honka & Son's Pressure Cleaning & Painting

I will let the pictures show the quality of work. My experience was similar to the "F" review form 08/23/2017.

I hired them originally for an interior job. In spite of some drip spots on the woodwork and floors, I had another job I asked if they would do. We spoke on the phone and agreed to a $250 quote. Chris Honka asked me to leave a check for $125 for materials on my front door; and that Robbie his cousin/partner would pick it up and that they would start Thursday. I did, while I was out the check was picked up and cashed. Thursday came and they never showed. When I called no answer but Chris responded to text saying he thought we agreed to Friday; for sure tomorrow. Next day, he called the time he was supposed to arrive to say his son was sick and he had to stay home with the boy. Definitely Monday. Ok. Monday he texts to say he's sick- been sick all weekend. Definitely tomorrow. Ok Tuesday he says he doesn't want to push it so he will let me know when he's better. Meanwhile I need to show my house to a Realtor so I decide I have to paint it myself. I text and call Chris to explain that I'm forced to do the painting myself and he said he was sorry. I asked for the $125 back and he said yes but he did not return it. He told me his cousin delivered a check in early July but that did not happen. I called him several times to follow up only to continue to be put off. He has not yet paid me back. These guys come off with an Aw Shicks, good ole boy attitude but their painting is mediocre at best and I'd highly advise not to pay anything in advance.
