The amount cited above is for reinstallation of six hurricane sliding glass doors for our rear porch, after the original installer failed to obtain engineering plans, nor did he install them to building code, and notified us after he completed the job that he did not obtain a city permit for the work.
To rectify this we contacted Gulfstream Windows and Doors. Gulfstream and their installer worked with us and their engineer over many visits to determine the specifications needed to complete this Category III Sun Room project to code. Although the doors and tracks had been previously purchased and installed ($8,500), new metal framing was fabricated and different installation techniques were used to meet the code requirements. We are extremely pleased with Gulfstream's approach to this project. The owners, staff, and installer were professional, competent, and attentive to details. We have already recommended Gulfstream to others in our HOA community.
