It was ok. It was a little expensive.

The electrician(s) were excellent. The changing of the fuse box to a breaker panel was done professionally and early to accomodate the Home Depot contractors for the beginning of the kitchen. The re-wiring of the kitchen was terrific with new and modern plugs with resets. When the counter and quartz top was put in the electrician came back and didn't like the position of one plug and did it over for just the ascetic value...AMAZING. Each day the place wes so clean you could eat off the floor although we couldn't due to the full renovation and lack of ammenities. ELCON made sure that we had a refrigerator at ALL TIMES!! Would I call this company again? You betcha. Home Depot picked them but we will keep them.

I thought he was trying to sell us the most expensive version. He said he will email me for the price but never sent one. I ended up hiring a different electrician through Angie's list and cost 1/3 of the price. We are happy with the result.

At first, I called about 5 companies, which had positive reviews on Angie's List and I must say that Lavon was such a pleasure to speak with. She was very professional and courteous. She set me up with a free estimate and scheduled the appointment at my convenience. Rusty was the gentleman that came by and he was courteous enough to call to let me know what his ETA was. He arrived promptly and was a pleasure to speak with. The issue had nothing to do with the ballasts as we thought, but Rusty was able to pinpoint the problem almost immediately. He explained what the issue was very thoroughly and answered all of my questions with a smile. I would definitely recommend this company and will most definitely use them in the future!

Not well. This is a job that Elcon should never have taken on. There were about a dozen lights out in a large house that I was getting ready to put on the market for sale. When I called Elcon, I told them it was a large house with a complicated electrical system and they should send someone who was very experienced. I sent them a floor plan with the non-working lights marked. An electrician from Elcon went over for the first time and said that the problem was with some specialized equipment that had to be serviced by the company that handled that equipment. Charge for this call was $252.00. I called this second company and, when they went out to the house, they could find nothing wrong with their equipment. Charge for this call was $375.00. I was not at the house either time. It then seems that the two parties (one from Elcon and the other from the other company) had a phone conversation and decided that they should both go over to the house at the same time. I agree to this but did not see the rational. This time I was at the house. On this third call, the electrician with the specialized equipment demonstrated that there was nothing wrong with his equipment. He seemed to be instructing the electrician from Elcon, but they were speaking in Spanish and I did not understand it all. On this trip, a ballast was changed in one non-functioning fluorescent light and a fuse was replaced in another light fixture. Elcon did not charge for this trip, the other company charged $250. That took care of two lights. Elcon said that this was a two man job. I told them that they would need an adjustable ladder to reach the lights in the stairwell. They returned on another day but did not have a proper equipment, thus wasting a lot of time. They changed the fuses in about six light fixtures and connected some loose wiring in three fixtures. They checked out two or three pool lights and determined that they needed to be replaced and looked at one landscape light but did no work on any of them. They also changed the bulbs in three light fixtures that I had missed. Charge for this was $904.00. I called Laurie at Elcon Electric on March 14 to complain. She kept telling me that she had discounted this and discounted that but that did not change the final figure of $1781. She did not get back to me as she promised. $625 was wasted because no work was done on the specialized equipment and this company was only called in because of Elcon's claim that their equipment was defective. The work that was done was simple electrical work on the actual light fixtures. One ballast was changed in a fluorescent light, about seven fuses were changed in other light fixtures and the wiring in three lights was tightened. Three burned out bulbs were replaced. Cost to me for this fiasco was $1781.

Great. On-time, did the job quick and right. Offered if anything else we needed. Would definitely use them again!

I called this company in tears after being stood up by 3 different electricians. They were in my house within the hour, saving the day. Our electrician was prompt, efficient with his time and CLEANED UP AFTER HIMSELF. He provided an extra safety check for our house after I paid which was greatly appreciated. Can't say enough great things about this company.

The guy got here on time. He's very personable and thorough. He gave me an estimate that I thought was a bit much but as far as customer service, personality and timeliness and that he got the quote to me in a matter of an hour, he's pretty good. Actually, I'm still considering him because I trust that he would do a great job so I'm thinking about calling him back and having him do a few of the items that was on the list. In addition to this, and this has surprised me, I have an asymmetric lighting and one of the lights was out. I believe that he rewired it. When I got home that night, it was actually on so I think he actually took care of that. I thought that was really quite amazing. His price is a little high. He's supposed to be there at 8 and he was there before 8. He was very professional.

Elcon had a very competitive price. Took a long time for the permit. But the work went quickly once it was scheduled. The ground needed to be re-worked as the original install was a tripping hazard. Final work looks good.

I was so impressed with Ronnie, the electrician, for several reasons. First, I wasn't charged because he said there was no "troubleshooting" to do. Ronnie was very knowledgeable and professional. He gave me additional information about my fuse box and water heater since I recently purchased this home and was not familiar with everything yet. So, he took care of the problem and additionally gave me helpful information.

Could not have been a better experience. Perfect job.

From the initial call to the technician, everyone that I interacted with was polite, friendly, courteous and professional. Carlos Nino was the technician that performed the work and his service level was exceptional. We discussed the job to be done and he provided me with an estimate. He completed the work in a timely manner and the job was done to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend Elcon to friends and family.

Everything went great, and they were very efficient. I had bought a smoke detector from Home Depot and they sent out an Elcon electrician to do the work. I'd highly recommend their services.

The electrician, Luis Alfonso, did his work very well. In the kitchen area, he installed a number of outlets above the counter top with special features of control, and rewired totally the connections for the dishwasher and the new garbage disposal. Luis also inserted new items in the electrical panel. He was always prompt, courteous, and professional, a pleasure to deal with. I would be pleased to use Elcon services in the future if I have need. It was an expensive project because it required four days of labor and electrical expertise. They did give me a 20% price break on the smoke detectors and installation, since that was not part of the original contract, but rather additional work required by the inspector. I appreciate that. This was my first experience with hiring an electrical company, and all in all, considering that electrical work is expensive, Elcon was very fair in its pricing. I would use them again without hesitation because they did such an excellent job this time.

The work has gone really well. He now servies all of our buildings for regular maintenance.

The electrician showed up the same day. My fence contractor graciously showed him an area outside that was an issue for them because some of their tools burned out due to a wiring issue I believe. He then came in and checked an outlet in my bedroom as we were not getting phone, cable or internet. Prior to my calling the provider, my dad and I had checked the circuit breakers and whatever else we could think of. It turned out that a multi-outlet piece that was plugged in had some outlets that were bad. He took it out and told me to throw it away and not use them anymore. Once he replugged the items into the outlet everything worked. I was able to ask him questions that may have been dumb to him but he patiently answered my questions, gave me suggestions, and offered to come back if I had any issues. I must add that he was professional, courteous and non-judgmental as I had a lot of chaos going on in my home and it was a mess. The bonus to all this was that he didn't charge me because, in his words, "I didn't really do anything for you." He did advise me that I will need some electrical work done to make repairs and possible upgrades. I would not hesitate to use them again and I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone.

The technician could not have been nicer. He did an excellent job even with the cleanup. Explained all that he was doing as he did it. Can not say enough about how wonderful he was.

GFI circuits (used in bathrooms and kitchens to protect from electric shock) are more complicated to connect than a regular switch. This was something my husband could not do!! So, I called Elcon Electric and made an appt. for a service person to come to my house. The electrician was prompt, and introduced himself as Manny....a very nice man who was professional and skilled in his job and personable as well; he explained about the special plugs and proceeded to complete the work within an hour. I was able to use my credit card to pay for the service. In addition, Manny gave me a brochure to leaf thru while he was working that showed all the types of jobs the company does and their prices. I thought this was excellent marketing! I would definitely use Elcon again.

They showed up on time and were very professional. The company sent them the wrong box and they took the initiative to go to home depot and get a new one.

I am usually nervous about having ANYONE come to my home to perform home improvements but right away, the gentleman who came to my home made me feel at ease, he was friendly, very professional, quick & thorough. He was there under an hour. I was quite pleased. Very neat, too. Will call them should I need any electrical work done again.

We had a great experience. Michelle answered the phone this morning and within a couple of hours Hector was on our front porch. Half an hour later we had a working doorbell after living without one for over a year and a half. Hector also provided an estimate that was half the price of another electrical company in the area AND informed us that the work would be more for aesthetic purposes. We were told that we needed a new breaker box for safety reasons but that was incorrect. The employees of Elcon are courteous and friendly and obviously very efficient! Will definitely use them again in the future. Thanks!

They came out and did a fantastic job. They were prompt and reputable. They were extremely professional and had competitive pricing. I would definitely recommend them to anyone else in need of the services. They even gave me a gift card as a promotion that they had going on at the time

I called three companies for the job. The first one had an answering machine, next. The second company answered the phone and said a service man would call me back to schedule a time. It took a week for them to call me back. Elcon was my third call that day, they answered the telephone, were very friendly and professional. Scheduled my service for the next day. The women on the phone said they would arrive at 8AM. I was thinking to myself "yeah right". The next day at 8AM on the nose the doorbell rang and they arrived. The job was completed in 3 hours, fast clean and perfect. I found my electricians for life.

The electrician was supposed to come on Tuesday. He did not make it. A second electrician was sent by the end of the day. He did not have the correct breaker. He came back the next day and fixed the job. A city inspector came while the electrician was working. The inspector told him to stop the job and get a permit. The electrician argued that you do not need a permit to change a breaker and continued his job. The next day I went to City Hall and argued with them until they called the higher up. The boss looked it up. You don't need a permit to change a breaker. You only beed it to replace the breaker box. I liked it that my electrician knew the code better than City Hall and their inspectiors. I also liked it that the electrician covered and organized the wires left messy by prior electricians. The job was neat and I am happy.

Seemed to take a longer time (1 1/2 hrs) than necessary for an experienced electrician. The fixture which holds the fan in the ceiling was already there and was fine after removing the old fan (which consisted of removing 3 screws). He assured me he was a licensed electrician, but watching him work did not reassure me. He did clean up but I had to move the bed (standing the mattress and box springs against the wall) before he got here so he'd have room to work, and I placed a large plastic drop sheet on the floor to catch anything that might fall. Friends told me I should have just called a handyman who could have done it for less than half the price, but I wanted to make sure a licensed person was doing electrical work. I had used this company 2 years ago to install/replace 2 receptacles in my garage and I actually got the same impression that time. It was a different guy than this time, but he didn't seem to know exactly what he was going to do, and took forever to do it. He didn't even have the proper housing for the switch, and I had told them exactly what the job would be on the phone before he came. He arrived late in the afternoon -after 4pm and looked like he was exhausted already. The reason I used this company again was I needed this fan replaced asap and by a professional. Won't use again because I really don't trust them, even though he did give me a $25 discount when I complained about the cost.
