Paul built our first house in 2013. Quality work, completed on time. Paul offered helpful suggestions since we were moving from the northeast and had no knowledge of the damage wind and salt could do to a home. Thanks to him, we chose the right materials and loved our 2 story beach home. In 2017, we decided we’d be happier as we aged in a single story home. We bought a lot a block from our home and called Paul. Our 2nd new home was completed on time, top quality with Paul’s usual attention to detail. Most people who have custom homes built would be happy to never see the builder again. I feel the fact that we had him build 2 for us shows how extraordinary Paul and his team really are.

When we first came to Palm Coast we were renting a house and we loved the design of that house. When we met with Lelia Hattersley of Culver Construction, she assured us that they could build us a house of this design, only a much better quality. We chose 2 lots that we wanted to join together as one lot and called Paul Culver who walked the lot with us and approved the lot for building. He obtained the plans for the house we wanted and we were able to easily make any changes that we wanted (front porch & patio, high ceilings). During construction we worked regularly with Paul and Lelia, making choices every step of the way for kitchen, paint, cabinets, flooring, etc. The whole project was done on time as promised and the building costs were exactly as we agreed upon. The actual installation went okay. Owner (Paul) showed up with a helper. They installed a triple panel sliding glass door. They left the interior/exterior caulking and painting undone because "the sealant had to set" but promised to come back the next day. They never returned. I made several calls to no avail. Ended up finishing the job myself. Typical Florida contractor. I left a favorable review on this company in 2012 but something has obviously changed.

Project was to take 4 to 5 months, we are now in the 15th month and are not finished yet. After demolition there was a two month period where no work or progress was observed at the site, as reported by neighbors. The house stood with no roof for nearly three months, with no protection for hardwood floors or intact rooms. Many errors made due to poor supervision and poor coordination of sub contractors. Contractor did not consult owners on many important factors, therefore delays were caused to correct errors. Owner's personal property was poorly cared for (contractor was responsible for packing and storage of contents of the house) , and numerous valuable items have turned up missing. We concluded our association with Mr. Culver with a discounted final payment in February 2017, and he agreed at that time to complete several unfinished items, including tiling the balcony floor, refinishing the dining room floor where it was flawed, and re-painting the exterior sliders where the paint had been rubbed off due to an incorrect installation. He has done none of these things as of May 10, 2017

Very professional job. They were working before we moved in and we were staying in Minnesota. Paul promised that  removed walls would look like original construction and it looks better ! Nobody who visit us believe it was walls there. It  looks so original. The new electric tankless water heater works great so far. We never run out of hot water and clamed back the bedroom closet space where the big one was. I could not find any plumber who could install it - they do only gas  tankles ones. Only recommendation to Paul and team - improve their punctuality and response.

Paul was an extreme pleasure to work with, he was professional and did a fantastic job that came in on budget and on time.

I came to Florida from Arizona to visit some friends. I left with a piece of property and a business card from Paul Culver Construction, Inc. From over 2000 miles away, Paul and I turned my dream of owning a house on the beach into a reality. I penciled out a floor plan on a piece of paper and Paul turned it into the most beautiful home I could have ever imagined. We spoke, e-mailed and FAXed back and forth during the whole process. Paul built my house in less than five months and sent me pictures of the progress all along the way. He was very easy to work with and showed me some southern hospitality by "yes Ma'am" ing me the whole time.

I would highly recommend Paul to anyone wanting to build a custom home and I would gladly show off my dream home upon request!

He was very good. He was pretty much on time with everything he did and he responded when I asked him questions. He even picked up some things for me at a home improvement store. I don't think there's much he could have done for me and I was okay with everything he did. He responded well in everything but there were a couple of times that I had to email him twice or call him up; I think he was just busy.

Paul and his crew did a major repair/renovation after a tree fell on our house, destroying the roof, kitchen and back deck. The house was listed for sale and under contract at the time. Repairs included replacement of roof and skylights, demo and replacement of kitchen ceiling and lighting, some walls, all cabinetry and countertops, interior drywall and painting, replacement of a wood deck, exterior patching and painting to match existing and removal of all debris. We were thrilled with the results and the house was better than new afterward. Paul is a very nice man, promptly addressed our questions, worked within a pretty tight insurance budget, all work passed inspection with flying colors and he finished the job in a timely manner. While we lost the original contract on the house due to the insurance company's delays in settling the claim, we received several offers on the house after the work was done and sold the house shortly after his crew was finished. Having the roof, deck and kitchen redone made the house much more marketable and we had a lot of interest after the repairs/improvements. He's the only contractor I've worked with who was patient to receive his draws. I was more worried about paying him than he was about being paid. Highly recommend!!

Paul was on time for our appointment and took out paper and a tape measure immediately when evaluating the invasive work that needs to be performed on my home. I mean invasive as one thing leads or is connected to another in the scope of work. I was very impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail. I have not set up a contract with him as of yet as I am looking at all of my options first to make an informed decision. I am writing a review specifically to his time with me when dealing with my estimate. Paul also was beyond punctual with his estimate as he had it to me within two days of our meeting. I feel that Paul Culver is a solid choice as he seems to care about the job and what can be done to make it right. I would not hesitate to hire him for his attention to detail and what I saw in communication of his skills.

UPDATE: After reviewing all of my options I went ahead and hired Paul Culver Construction for the job. Paul did everything and then some. His help was professional and knowledgeable. The attention to detail was beyond what I have experienced in the past on my home in Upstate NY. It also needs to be said that since I am 1200 miles away from my project home, Paul handled everything that needed to be done effectively and efficiently from a distance and on a time constraint. I can't say enough about his capabilities, knowledge, dedication and reassurance to my project house and to my stressed state of mind through this renovation. As per my experience, Paul and crew are very familiar with foundation work, structural, windows, framing, stucco and anything an existing older home needs. I will not hesitate in hiring him in the future.

Paul is an excellent contractor, he made sure every detail was taken care of, went way above our expectations, and made e process easy for us.

Paul arranged to met with me on Sunday to take a look at the door. After looking at it he said he could fix it right then, and grabbed his tools and within 10 minutes the door was fixed. Not only did he repair it quickly and efficiently, he was very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend him and will use him again.

Paul Culver is FANTASTIC!!! Paul was such a hands-on contractor that even living three states away I felt confident leaving the job in his capable hands. All of his craftsmen were clean, kind and hard-working, and most importantly, they showed up when they said they would, and finished on schedule. I will only call Paul Culver from here on out. He's the best!

I recieved several bids on my project and Paul's was not the least expensive but he also was a long way away from the most expensive. I chose Paul because of his attitude, professionalism, and he came highly recommended. Due to the fact I changed my mind a lot, the job lasted about 1 week longer than he or I would had projected and again not one cent more than quoted... I would recomend Paul for any size job, small or large. I am completely satisfied with the job he performed and will use him again....Rusty

I have to make them come on weekends to do the work and they willingly came. They completed the job in one day and they asked for the payment after the job was done. Overall, they are just a great company.

The new deck is well made and looks great! Mr. Culver and his crew did an excellent job! From the moment I met Mr.Culver, he has been extremely nice and very professional. He took care of all the details. I could not believe how quickly my new deck was completed and my door was hung. No debris was left behind and the area was cleaned up both days before they left. The crew was also very nice and knowledgeable. A very professional job. I would definitely use Paul Culver Construction Co. again!

Paul and his employees were professional and extremely knowledgeable. Paul took my ideas and enhanced them. I was able to leave the house unattended and know that it was in good hands. The finished product was amazing and we have received numerous compliments on the visual as well as the installation aspect of the project.
