Mary's Flower Shoppe

I called this florist on 6/17/13 and spoke to a gentleman to order flowers for my sister-in-law. I ordered a $75 arrangement and explained to the gentleman that the flowers must be delivered the following day (6/18/13) as she lost her husband in February this year and 6/18/13 would have been their 42d anniversary. He assured me they would make the delivery on 6/18. I called my husband and let him know I ordered the flowers and he called the florist back because he wanted to add to the message and again stressed the importance of delivering the flowers on 6/18. He also advised them that his sister worked at a doctor's office who had two locations and to make sure they called before delivering to see which office she was working in that day. At 3:30 on 6/18/13 they attempted to deliver the flowers without calling first and sure enough she was at the other office location. They would not take the flowers to her actual location because they said it was too late and they would deliver them the next day. Given the fact that they waited until 3:30 to deliver the flowers and knowing she could be at one of two offices, they should have attempted to deliver the flowers much earlier. When my husband called the next day to speak to the owner, Mary, she was rude and completely unsympathetic for their faux pas. She told my husband she's been in business for 30 years and would not let him get a word in edgewise. His sister sent a picture of the flowers when she received them the day AFTER her anniversary and they were quite average with no impact whatsoever. I don't know how someone so rude or unsympathetic is in her business at all, much less for 30 years! Steer clear of this lousy florist.

She was so sweet and gentle with me as we planned. She created the most lovely floral arrangement there!
