John Lynch, President of Coastal Lending Services, had helped me on another condo purchase in 2011. He had been very helpful. My wife and I were in the market again so I called him. He was very helpful and speedy so that we could make an offer. However, as time went on he had delay tactics and was not nearly as responsive. The ultimate "straw that broke the camel's back" is that, in front of my wife, he asserted that I was the problem in closing our loan in a timely fashion and basically tried to throw me under the bus with her. Never a good thing for customer service. And my wife and I had worked hand in hand to close this loan. We even came into town for the closing only to have his work not be done so we had to complete it remotely a week or so later. So our trip was wasted and we would have saved the time and money to fly in for the closing.
