It went well. I would recommend them. They did a good job and they were very friendly. It was $110 for two cleaning ladies for four hours.

The helper was supposed to arrive at 11:00am and stay till I returned. She arrived at 9:00am and stated that she came early because she needed to pick her child up at school so she couldn't come in the afternoon. She tried to take my dog for a walk and was unsuccessful because she didn't know how to put the harness on ( I did not ask her to do this and I prefer to take care of my pets myself). After she left I walked into the kitchen and found a sticky substance all over the floor and my cabinet fronts, I later discovered it was rootbeer which must have exploded but she said nothing and did not clean it up.
I called and explained to the Council on Aging what had happened and ask them to refund my payment. I have subsequently called them several times and each time they say they will send me a check but here it is March 2014 and I have yet to receive my check. I would not recommend them to anyone, quite the opposite.

They try their best. We have been through a few caregivers. They have had some problems, but they have been good at working them out.

It's a county agency, but it's been partly privatized. They provide whatever services people need. It's an umbrella agency that contracts with others. They at least screen home healthcare people, which is important. They have a lot of oversight, which I like. I've used a couple of people from there. They come and go, and I think the quality of service depends on who the director is over there. Any problems I've had with them would be better by now. I would probably not be using them again, because I am no longer in that situation I once was.

They did a fabulous job of cleaning for her! They knew how to interact/speak with older people.
She was very reluctant to having someone in her home to clean, but after seeing the great job they did, she will use Council on Aging housekeeping again. We are getting ready to use Council on Aging for a handyman job, also.
