Instead of admitting they didn't install they unit correctly they made up all types of excuses. We are currently in court seeking damages. If you want to hire this company we suggest you don't. They don't do the right thing, make all types of lame excuses and Ken especially is arrogant and full of excuses.

Arrived to check on my home and discovered that it was 96 degrees inside and although the fan was running warm air was blowing out of the vents.  The was in place when I purchased the house and I had no idea who to call so I called the name on the sticker Behrens.  I left a message and received a return call in about 5 minutes.  Very fortunately the service technician happened to be right in my area and arrived in less than 10 minutes.  He quickly determined it was the capacitor, had one on the truck and replaced it.  We had a brief conversation concerning the unit which was very informative.  The responsiveness and professionalism has made me a customer for life.  I would highly recommend them/

They are very good. We have bought two air conditions over the last six years, the insulation is good, but we had some defects in the ducting system in our house and they have done very good. They are very professional and they have come in at lower prices than other people we have dealt with in the area. So we have been very, very happy with them. Compared to other companies that we had worked with, yearly they came in about twenty percent less. They have been here right on time.

The service technician who came out was very professional and seemed to be very knowledgeable. Arrived in a company van as scheduled. He found one set of contacts that needed to be replaced and showed them to me and explained what was wrong with them. He also took time to discuss the system with me and showed me how to use bleach to keep the drains clean - something that I had not known about before his visit! I would use this company again.

The fan in old air handler was in the process of breaking loose. Repairman showed up same day as called and advised us that the fan had broken one of three spot welds that holds it on the housing (I already knew this) and that replacement would run about $400. As the unit was over 17 years old, I asked about replacing the whole thing with a new A/C system. Got 2 prices within 15 minutes and elected a new heat pump system as the difference between straight A/C vs. heat pump was only $300. The installation was set for the following morning. The installers showed up at 7:30 AM (right on time) and commenced right away. They ran into a few snags along the way (normal) and resolved them without additional charges The job was finished by 1:30 PM. Cleanup following was excellent.
We have been using this company for a number of years and the service and prices have always been excellent. In fact, the original responder, as well as the two installers, have been here before to resolve problems with the old unit. They all have been with the company for a number of years and really know their stuff.
We can recommend this company without reservation.

They're very, very good. When they installed my new system, I was not down in Florida yet. I was still in Virginia, but, my parents came over. My parents used them, that's how I got their name. They were here when they said they would. They thought they might have to come back the next day but, they actually got everything done in the one day. They put a whole new system in my garage, instead of the attic. They built a beautiful box to hold the system. They called me in Virginia if they had a question and also, let me know what was going on, and let my parents know what was going on. They were very, very reasonably priced. I would use them again in the future. I had to call them out for a small problem, they were here in an hour. He was able to figure out the problem, the system was overcharged. He got the system levels where they're supposed to be and I haven't had a problem since.

Overall good. :o)

(March 7th). The old AC outside unit had too many leaks, one found by Behrens. It was a Goodman, 10 years old.

After reading online reviews to know how to choose between the brands Tempstar, Goodman, Amana, Bryant, GE.. etc, you figure out that it's the contractor that installs the machine that really counts. All are good brands. So we chose between 3 contractors. While another contractor (can't name who..) explained our options better, and the prices were within +/- $600, we went with Behrens + the labor warranty for 10 years (service calls, parts, labor all included).

I did talk to the owner twice over the phone, asking about scrap metal, extended labor warranties, thermostat that could be controlled over the i-phone, copper lines replaced vs. flushed. Kevin got back to me in 2 days. I didn't go with the thermostat cause it was $450 extra.

(April 16th) They all arrived at 8:10am like we'd talked about, and started taking everything apart (in and out units). I asked to keep the old one to have fun giving to the scrap metal myself (hey, I got $138.25, so yes, it's worth the 'fun' of taking everything apart). They didn't mind at all, and didn't add that cost back to my bill.

I didn't need the new concrete piece underneath the outside unit. They had it in their truck but didn't use it. (I wonder if that was included in my price.. oops.) The outside breaker box wasn't replaced, just glued back together (it was falling apart though..). I wish they had replaced it.

It's now 10 days after, and everything seems to work fine.

They were prompt and professional. When they left, you'd never know they were here except for the new HVAC. The pricing was very reasonable and the work was completed on schedule. I would highly recommend them to anyone needed HVAC services.
