I was denied warranty for a repair on 10/12/2015 by AC One, even though the warranty on their paperwork lists 10 years warranty on the compressor. They stated that the warranty on the compressor was denied by the manufacturer (Bryant / Carrier AC).  Initially Bryant / Carrier initially denied warranty to AC stating the there house was unoccupied.  After stating I lived there and was there at the time of the Compressor failure, they then denied warranty stating that my Father did not send in the warranty card when it was installed in Aug 2010, so the warranty was only a 5 year warranty, not the 10 Year warranty stated on the Original Invoice (8/12/2010).  There is no way to prove or disprove that any additional paperwork was provided nor sent in as my father is no longer living.  This was our family house which he was occupying at the time or installation.

Based on the history of the unit and his measurement he determined the unit had a minor leak. He was willing to use freon I had on hand to service the unit saving me hundreds of dollars. He charged only for a service call. Very courteous and efficient. Made no effort to sell me a new unit once he determined my unit was working well. I appreciated his honesty.

Overall, everything went great!  I made the service call.  Within a couple hours Alex came to my house and diagnosed my problem.  He had to order parts.  He was able to make my system run quieter while waiting a couple days for the new parts to arrive.  As soon as they came in, Alex came over and installed the new pump and throughly cleaned and brought back to  life my AC system!  Job well done!

First, I would like to state that after dealing with this company I felt compelled to join Angie's List just so I could write a review. I have used AC1 several times in the past. Where other companies have failed miserably with professionalism and timeliness, this company passed with flying colors. What amazes me most about this company is that regardless of how small the job was that I needed done, they were there when promised and completed the work with no problems. I called them last week about the noise my freezer was making. The next morning the OWNER came over found the problem and took the time to show and explain it to me. It was just a matter of replacing some rubber bushings on the compressor, but the rattling noise it was causing was driving me up a wall. I told Alex (the owner) I would go out and get the bushings and replace them. He insisted that he would get them and replace them. And, as promised, he was back later that afternoon and fixed the problem. Now, this may not be a big deal to most, but for me it speaks volumes. When a company can take the time to make a small repair where the financial gain is insignificant, you know they are going to show the utmost professionalism when it comes to the big jobs. Thank you Alex and Michelle for keepinjg me cool and my appliances running properly!
