The initial salesman was very professional; but the technicians were the complete opposite. I wasn't home when the technicians arrived; however I drove up to a work site not my home. The old unit was left on my lawn (which I pay to have serviced every month) not to mention I'm still finding insulation particles in my grass. My garage door was left open with no one working inside (In south Florida we all know how unfriendly creatures find their way into your home through the garage). To top it off one of the workers was standing in my drive way smoking a cigarette (We're a smoke free home). I was beyond annoyed. To be fair the other technician was on my second floor hard at work. I decided not to complain because the unit worked perfectly fine, then I went to use my electric cook-top any nothing (The opportunity to reconnect the cook-top was probably missed during the cigarette break). My husband contacted Universal Air and was informed that it would $45.00 for someone to come out and determine whether or not they were responsible for disconnecting the cook-top. We contacted Sea-Coast Electrical who came out and reconnected the cook-top and determine this was no coincidence. Once again my husband contacted Universal Air and informed them that their technicians were at fault. He was told to email the bill and a manager would contact him this was on 07/20/17. We haven't heard from a manager since. In addition the city inspector stated that Universal would have to return to add additional tie downs to the unit. Universal returned however we still haven't heard from anyone regarding a reimbursement for the electrician. The second city inspection visit is pending .
