Terrific! Best decision we have made in a long time.

We needed an inside-and-outside painting of our home.  Our exterior color choices were constrained by our homeowners association but the interior options were unlimited -- and daunting!  We found Chuck Peffley almost accidentally and were immediately struck by the depth of his knowledge.  He began by offering us excellent choices on our color scheme and we were re-assured by his guarantee -- either we were satisfied or he'd re-do until we were.  We were then impressed by his attention to detail and suggestions for (very necessary!) repairs and replacements which had escaped our notice.  When the exterior painting was completed well within estimate of cost and time --and superbly executed -- we bit the bullet and had him attend to the interior -- a much more involved job.
Once again, he was able to guide us to what turned out to be just the right color choices and to make numerous suggestions for other changes we were contemplating (molding, some new doors, etc -- all supplied by other contractors of our choice).  His advice turned out to be spot-on and the final results were spectacular.  We realized that one of the largest projects for a house is the painting and what goes with it, and we benefited greatly from Peffley's advice -- which went beyond the work actually done by him.   He understands home construction intimately.
The devil, as they say, is in the details.   But so are the good guys!  Peffley is very much into details:  he was able to supply a special metal paint for our garage door  and front door that made them into an eye-catching accents.  He (separately) spray painted and revived our wicker furniture and even lent our upholsterer a hand with her work.
Our conclusion:  anyone can wield a paint brush -- but a complete house painting involves WAY more! There is simply NO substitute for experience and expertise -- and honesty!
