Screen enclosure paint is pealing and chipping and discoloration. We got the work done in November and paid quite a bit of money. Have emailed, called and texted Paul. No response!!! Do not use this company. Please look at other reviews as this seems to be a pattern.

Within two years after Paul Eastwood Co. Painted the pool super structure, the paint is falling off. When i vacuum my pool large chucks of paint are in the bottom of the pool. Horrible job done, i highly recommend that you choose another company.

The work was done too fast, little attention to detail. When i complained to John, he gave me one excuse after another. John told me he had a family emergency and had to leave, he never took any more phone calls nor did he return.

Paul's company painted white aluminum a copper color as requested. One year after completion of job the paint is pealing off. I contacted Paul and told him what the problem was, he has completely ignored me. Look at the photographs, a picture is worth a thousand words.

The screen enclosure looks good. Over spray from the paint was allowed to cover my wood deck, a new entry door knob and our Stainless Steel gas grill. The deck needs to be repainted, the door knob can be replaced but the gas grill, which is about a year and a half old can't be cleaned. If you hire make sure they cover everything before painting.

Contractor did not show up on the scheduled date, did not notify us of any delay, and then showed up unexpectedly several days later disrupting our plans both times. He did not use the type of paint that he quoted us he would use and he began painting when it was clearly about to rain and the paint ended up getting wet. He also left the work area in a shambles over the weekend - extension cords plugged in and laying in the pool, plastic over my landscaping which caused damage to the plants, and debris from the painting prep that blew into adjacent yards. I had to fix the installation of some of the door hardware that his crew installed incorrectly. The attached picture is how the work area was left over the weekend.

I needed a single panel on the top of my pool enclosure replaced, and he was very insistent on doing the whole roof. He quoted $931 for 1000 sq ft of roof area on the screen enclosure. He also quoted me $3400 to strip, repaint and re-screen the whole thing. Yes, the whole enclosure needs work, and as far as I was concerned, he was the guy I was going to hire. But for now, I have to repair damage in my kitchen (from a leak), so I just needed the one panel replaced and I would bring him back in the fall after I finish paying for my kitchen work. He was very nice until it was clear I wasn't doing anything beyond repairing the single panel on the roof at this point in time. From then on he had more of a "whatever" kind of attitude, but I needed the work done quickly and he was working in the neighborhood. He quoted $240 for that single strip/panel (about a 6 foot x 20 foot section). He mentioned he would be in the neighborhood that Thursday to do another job so I scheduled the appointment at 1p and ... ...he didn't show up. Not even a phone call. I called him at 2p, and he apologized and gave me the excuse about a job running longer and they were just about to leave etc etc (forgive the cynicism-- I've heard this from so many contractors, it just makes you wonder if they've been doing their job long enough to be better at managing their schedule). I asked if he would be coming by and he said no, but indicated he could come by in the morning. So I figured, why not? Next morning, he actually shows up on time. Great! They do the work and are done in 30 minutes. Double great! Work looks to be done well, but only time and some strong wind will tell about the quality. Later that day I find an old, broken measuring tape on my lawn, right next to where they had parked their truck. I review the security camera footage and take a guess what I see? Not so great. Sigh. At least he showed up and the leaves aren't falling into my pool any more. So today (Easter Day), I am taking out my garbage and find the screen panel they removed-- in my garbage can. It's been my experience that any type of contractor is generally responsible for their own cleanup and disposal. If they want to use your bulk pickup or your garbage, they at least ask you or give you a heads up. Neither happened here. I send a text message indicating that this action did not inspire confidence in me to hire him for the full job. You would think he would have called and apologized, or texted back an apology, but no. Had he done so, I would have dumped the screen, been past it and hired him to do my entire cage in the fall. I also would have given his number to two friends who are in need of his services. Easy money. Unfortunately, he called me back and proceeded to tell me that he would come by and pick up the trash, but if I didn't want to hire him then that his fine with him, because if I was going to be this "nitpicky" he wouldn't want to work on my property anyway. Then he hung up on me. Wait-- you're coming to my property after acting like that? I've attached a screen grab of my text message so you can see read the message yourself-- not nasty at all. I also attached a picture of the screen ball that I pulled out of my garbage can (note that in Plantation we have to use special garbage bags and can't just wheel the garbage can to the curb). Several minutes after he hung up on me, I received a text message indicating he would stop by and pick up the trash, to which I responded by prohibiting him from returning to my property. The thing is-- it is never good to treat people badly. Here's a guy that had good motivation to do the right thing (a big job waiting!) and still acted like a jerk. Guess he figured that I wasn't serious about having him back to do the whole cage...but he was wrong. Of the 3 companies who gave quotes for the repair and subsequent job, he was my favorite. But he screwed that up, and so I am leaving this review, as a warning to you, the next potential customer of this man. Buyer beware! If you are going to consider hiring this man then there are several issues you should pay attention to: (1) as of today (4/16/17) his Angie's List profile indicates he is NOT licensed; and sure enough, there is no license of any type listed on Florida's web site and his license in Broward county is expired since 2008; (2) his Angie's List profile indicates he is not bonded or insured. That means having his people work on your property makes YOU liable when they get hurt. These are people who will be working on a raised enclosure and on your roof. As well as with sharp metal that can easily cut hands around the cage. Do you want to risk the liability if one of these workers falls or cuts their hands? If he does manage to produce a certificate of liability insurance, make sure you are named as "additionally insured" and that your property address appears on the certificate-- very important!! Then call the insurer to verify coverage. (3) Worker's comp-- make sure he can produce proof of worker's comp insurance because if one of his guys falls on your property, the liability insurance will pay the medical bills, but that doesn't cover the worker's loss of wages-- leaving you responsible. Why am I providing all of this information to you? He turned on me for raising a concern. That's all it took. It makes me wonder how he would react if he was called out on poor workmanship. Or if one of his guys gets hurt on the job. For me, the question of "how he will behave when..." is enough to raise flags. Combine that question with no licensure nor insurance and you've got a recipe for disaster. I'd take that risk with the right partner-- but not this guy. Nobody plans on an accident, you just find yourself dealing with it when it happens, and the last thing you need is a loose canon on the other end when it happens. Since my experience has shown me that his patience is an issue, I strongly urge you to protect yourself from liability just in case you do decide to hire him.

They missed numerous spots and told me that they would come back to finish it. They never did. They cashed my check for $5700, but have never returned. They were very fast, but they are not very clean. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Very punctual...said they would be there at 7 and were there before then.
Everything was done to my specifications, and when there was a question I was promptly asked.
Work was done on time and the quality is very very good.
Would definitely use Paul and his very courteous and professional team again, and refer to others via word of mouth.

Was very late, but I understand how things can go wrong. I heard a screw gun being used and went outside to find out why, since screen replacements do not require screws. Worker explained that he was using better spline 220 as opposed to the 190 that was in and was screwing it down to hold it down better. I explained that my screens had been in for 12 years and had never pulled out, they were just torn and that I did not want screws put in to the frame. Fortunately my husband was now home this late in the day and went out to find out what was going on. He proceeded to tell my husband he was doing a better job than what was in. My husband said the 220 was too big and he should not be screwing down the spline. He was arguing with my husband(there was yelling). He was asked to leave since he obviously did not know what he was doing. He said, as he left, I hope your house doesn't burn, because I'm a firefighter. I now have missing screens(he pulled them out) instead of screens with holes. I looked at the roof screen he supposedly replaced and it was not(it was torn at edge of the spline). He pulled and stretched the old screen and used the old spline and screwed it down. He walked all over my plants, which was not necessary, I was able to put a ladder up to look with out trampling down the flowers.

FABULOUS!! From the first phone call to Paul, I knew this would be a successful service call. He came over right away to give me an estimate. Within 30 minutes he returned with the necessary materials and finished in less than hour. He had samples to choose from and helped me choose the best screening for our needs. Very professional and friendly.
I would absolutely recommend this company to family and friends. Excellent service!

Three other companies gave me an estimate on a 15x30ft porch and the price was just too high. The screens were deteriorating and something needed to be done soon so I called this company and they gave me a better estimate. I still needed help on the price and they understood my situation. They not only knocked off some of the price but still they used high quality materials and treated the job like I was paying more than what they normally charge. They are so contentious and helpful. I have not been so impressed with a service like this years.

They arrived ready to do the job, offered an excellent bid and completed the work promptly. This was a two-story screen enclosure, and they had no hesitation about repairing the roof.
