Eagle 1 Van Lines

We moved from California to Virginia, but only had a small amout to move (~1000lbs). The larger big-name companies had a 3000 lb minimum. Don Nash from Eagle 1 was very good about answering all my questions, and dealing with my nervousness of shipping. The pick up crew was also very professional, and took the time to go through all the paperwork with me. It did take close to 4 weeks to get our stuff (which was within the time frame of the contract), as they seem to put loads on as trucks are available. My only complaint, and why they got a B and not an A, was because of the delivery. The driver gave us a hard time about paying with Cashiers Check (he kept telling us cash, altho a Cashiers Check/Money Order option is in the contract AND we cleared it ahead of time with the owner). He kept telling us we didn't need to verify the boxes against the inventory.."just count the boxes." Turns out one of the boxes was NOT ours (as we had clearly labeled each box with name/address/bright colored tape), and the driver kept saying it was ours "because it was with our stuff." One of the shippers also repacked our crib and stole all our moving blankets. All in all, we did get all of our stuff, nothing was broken (altho the boxes had a rough time), and Don and the crew back in California was very responsive to our calls and requests for updates.
