Very well , quick and easy work for these guys . I have used them for over 6 years now , very trust worthy .

They lied to me and charged me for the service call and the $90.00 was not deducted when my wife paid the bill! She did not know that the $90.00 was on the bill and was to be taken off. Then two months later I called them again and they came out and fixed the A/C for a third time. When I called from the past bill and I looked at the bill and saw the $90.00 and was upset because they took off the $90.00 from my bill this time. I then called to get a refund they took over week to respond after 3 more calls. Finally the Owner called me and started yelling and swearing at me for bothering them for the $90.00. He said it was after ERMA and they were charging the service charge and I was not getting a refund. He the called me a MOTHER-****** and a **** Sucker many times and then hung up on me! I have never heard anyone that is an owner talk like that before! I would never use this company EVER again! Still waiting on my $90.00 refund!

My A.C. broke on Saturday late evening. I did the initial troubleshooting and found that the compressor was not running. The air filter was clogged. So, I removed the air filter and drained the water line outside with my wet/dry vaccum. I removed the air filter, left the air handler running and turned Off the thermostat cool setting to ensure that if the coil can defrost if frozen. Spoke with Alex from A star Air conditioning on Saturday night. I informed him of the current state. He advised that the Technician can be available at 9 am in the morning. He felt that capacitor may need to be replaced based on the initial diagnosis we did on the phone. He offered a 30 dollar discount and mentioned that the total cost of service would be 90 dollars plus the cost of the Capacitor only (if the issue is with capacitor, or the cost of the replacement part if it is something else). I called a few times from 8:00 am to 8:30am. Philip responded at 8:30 and advised that the technician can be available between 10 and 10:30. I confirmed with Philip if he has discussed with Alex on the 90 dollar + the part cost and he acknowledged the 30 dollar discount too. Philip himself came at 10:20. He went to the air handler, noted down all the details of the model. Then he went straight to the Compressor outside, turned off the unit, quickly checked with his tool that the capacitor was in fact dead. He replaced it, turned it back on, came back in the house verified that the cool air is coming. Total job duration was 30 minutes. Then came to the billing part and he showed me a invoice of 208 dollars for capacitor + Additional 120 dollar service call charges and a 30 dollar discount, with a net total of 298. I told him that the agreement was 90 dollars + the cost of the part . A capacitor cost is no more than 30 dollars. He spent no more than 30 minutes. We went into a verbal argument / disagreement. He said, he would need to pull out the part OR I would have to pay 250 dollars as the only options. I even offered him 200 dollars but there was no agreement. This is unfair. With a broken ac and the temperature soaring to 90 degrees in the home that you have to either suffer until you find another repair person OR accept to whatever charges they charge at their will (regardless of the initial agreement). I ended up paying 250 dollars A fair practice is necessary for a business to thrive. If they don't hold the values / morals and look for shortcuts to make money, they are definitely not going to last long. I will not recommend this company. They may be technically qualified but don't have moral values to stand to what they promise. I feel such people with no moral values may even guide you on a wrong path to spend lot more than needed and milk out as much money from you as possible.

Had a condensate pump fail on a weekend. Called A Star A/C at 8:30 on a Sunday morning and they were onsite by 9:30. The tech was polite, courteous, dressed professionally and arrived in a company truck. He had a 240v pump on the truck and goe me back up and running within an hour. Used an online coupon for a discount on the emergency service. Would absolutely use again!

The work went very well. They have done work for me approximately 4 times in the past 2 years and all times the work has been satisfactory. Good work, reasonably priced, punctual, informative and courteous.

The company did quick and clean work. The technician was
very courteous to clean up after himself, which I really appreciated.
This company does great work, and I love that they warranty
all repairs. I would definitely use this company again for any of my Broward AC
repair needs. The company’s services may not be the cheapest, but I was able to
save some money by taking advantage of a coupon on its website.

The owner was very respectful and professional. He gave me details (price, a/c unit descriptions) for all the options for me to choose from. He did not try to sell me a particular one or the most expensive.
The installers were always on time (estimate, installation, and follow up). They both were polite, knowledgeable, organized, and left the areas clean after the work was done.

They do very nice work for me. I like everything about their service. They are very nice and punctual. The prices are reasonable and they explain everything well.

I have been using them for years. They are like family. They are wonderful and I would highly recommend them.

Phil evaluated my needs and measured my unit for a better fitting filter than those you buy in Home Depot or Publix. He noticed that my unit's piping wasn't allowing the unit to drain completely efficiently so he fixed it then and there NO CHARGE!!
He checked my unit and cleaned my and quot;screenand quot; and quoted me a MUCH more reasonable price than any other company. He was very professional throughout and was clearly very knowledgeable in his field.

The filters took a long time to come in so to compensate, they discounted the 12 filters $30!! They delivered them as soon as they arrived.

I was very satisfied in EVERY way!

I SHOULD have had the same inspection/cleaning in May 2011 however I am disabled and live on a very limited income and was unable to afford it.

I recently contacted Julien at Star for my kinda late and quot;yearlyand quot; checkup and he was very understanding about my financial situation, in fact despite the price of the filters going up $30, he gave me a coupon to get the new filters at the old price!

They will be coming out in as soon as the filters arrive (about a week) and at hat time I plan to have them service my A/C unit, clean my dryer duct AND clean the ducts in my home. I know this will be costly but better to be proactive than to fix something that's unfixable! And Julien told me that they will work with me to give me the best price an arrange a payment plan if need be!

4 days after we purchased our condo the ac unit had failed to the point of needing to be replaced. A STAR Air Conditioning was referred to us, they came out within a couple of hours and provided us with a very reasonable quote. Within 2 days the AC unit and the Air Handler were replaced. The service we received was by far the most courteous, friendly and professional service we have ever received in south Florida. This evening we realized that the AC unit was not turning back on, I called A STAR Air Conditioning at 9:15pm and they responded to our residence within 15 minutes, the technician was extremely polite and neatly dressed. Upon entering our home he went as far as to put slip covers over his shoes and I did not even ask him to do so. He explained what was wrong with the system and changed some of the original specs. The unit was repaired within 15 minutes and we are happy to say that our home is cool once again. We highly recommend this company to anyone who needs any ac work.

I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY FOR SEVEN YEARS. ONE OF THE BEST THINGS ABOUT THEM IS THAT THEY SHOW UP, AND THEY SHOW UP ON TIME. THEY WILL CALL YOU IF THEY ARE GOING TO BE LATE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE WORK THAT THEY DID FOR ME. THEY CAME ON TIME AND WERE REALLY NICE. I THOUGHT THAT THEY DID EXCELLENT WORK. THEY ARE A REALLY PROFESSIONAL COMPANY TO USE, AND I DID NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM AT ALL.
