Out-of-State Moving Service
Stay away from this scam moving company!
I hired this company for my move from Washington, D.C. to California, and it turned out to be one of the worst experiences I?ve ever had with a moving service.
When I initially spoke to them over the phone, they provided an estimated quote that fit within my budget. However, after they packed my belongings, the price unexpectedly doubled with no clear explanation or updated documentation prior to charging me.
Upon delivery in California, I was overcharged for a ?flight of stairs? fee. The company?s own contract states that ?12 steps = 1 flight.? The movers had to go up fewer than 12 steps, yet I was charged $75 for a full flight. When I attempted to point out this discrepancy, they refused to acknowledge it and demanded full payment before releasing my belongings. They also accepted my payment via Zelle only.
Additionally, multiple items were damaged during the move ? including furniture, trophies, clothing, and kitchenware. When I filed

We were impressed with the first person who came to our condo to give us a price quote. He was professional, on-time, and very responsive to contacting us. We agreed upon the day of the move and he called back with information when he said he would. Shortly after the initial visit, he called to ask if we could change the day since he just found that the owner of the company was out of town and had scheduled a move the same time as ours. We were unable to change the move day. We settled that we would pack the previous day and have a different group of movers the following day to move us to the storage unit. The day before the move, we received a call saying that there was a good team of experienced movers who could come and do it all on the original moving day since there wasn't much to do. We had allotted 7 hours for the move which was totally in line with two previous quotes we had received. The move actually took almost twice that amount of time.Our original contact was unable to be at our move. Another person was in change with two younger helpers (one, in particular, not terribly well-trained). The packing took much longer than estimated (almost twice as long), causing me to have to make two additional trips to the storage unit (half an hour away) and taking time I didn't have the following day. We had a tight deadline to make this move as we were selling the condo two days later and needed to empty out and clean it before flying out after the closing. We had scheduled charities and friends to remove items the following day. The price was a set amount plus the cost of some of the packing materials. I thought we were told that we'd get a senior discount, but when we went to pay (before the job was finished), we were told that we had a flat rate which was considered a discount. Some of the items we packed to be shipped FedEx were not packed well-enough and had to be redone - and one box we sent, had several items broken, some of which I said needed to be better padded and was told they wouldn't break . The helpers messed up some of the packed items to be shipped and I almost shipped some of the wrong items. It makes us wonder if when we move the items in storage up North, if they were properly packed and will make the move without breaking. When I called the company a week later to tell them that a few of the items came broken due to insufficient padding, I was told the owner was out of town with an emergency for a few months, and the person in charge was not in and would definitely call me within a day. When I didn't receive a return call a few days later, I called and left several messages but none have been returned. The Manager at the storage facility recommended this company which is why we hired them. I have told her not to recommend them in the future. Had the owner and manager performed the move, the results might have been better.

Service provided was excellent from the very first call I made. They provided me with a preliminary quote over the phone, which turned out to be very close to the actual invoice amount. The movers were extremely professional and nice. They offered to move furniture around several times to make sure I was pleased with the arrangement. Overall a great experience.

Every thing went smoothly.They moved furniture until we were pleased with the new arrangement. Altho they were here for about 1 hour they were very cooperative and eager to fulfill any request we made. We would call them again if needed.

I called around and got several estimates, and I felt the most comfortable with the rep from this company. I also felt that the quote that I recieved was very fair. When the movers showed up at my house they were on time & both movers were very presentable. They worked very quickly and were very careful with all of my belongings. In the end they actually saved me money (because they gave me an hourly rate & they finished sooner.) I was very happy with the service that I recieved & would definetley recomend to a friend.
