Mattress One - Davenport

We love the mattress, but feel that the boxspring is too high to get into bed, plus the heighth of the set covers the headboard. Since July 12th I have been dealing with various employees of this store.  Apparently the employee who sold us the set no longer works there.  Initially I was told that I could exchange the boxspring for a low profile boxspring the following week, since the low profile ones were not in this store's warehouse.  We were in the midst of a relocation from Florida to Kentucky, and I was going to be house hunting in Kentucky until the end of July.  I was told to just call when I got back to Florida.  When I got back, I got such a runaround!  I had to stop into the store to show them my receipt, which they did take a copy of.  That sales person was to "check on what" he could do.  After not hearing from him for a week, I called again and was told that I had to come in and fill out a complaint/request form.  Ten days after I did that, I heard nothing and called the store again and was told to contact customer service to see what the response to my request was.  I could not get through to customer service for 3 days in a row (no one answered the phone!)  Today, August 19th, I called the store again and was finally told that the only thing they could do was exchange the boxspring for a low profile one, but it would cost me $79.  I told them no thank you, I guess I am stuck with what I have got.  I would never deal with Mattress 1 again.  In hind site, I should have paid a little more for a comparable set from a long time, reputable, Local store.
