We have been using Del Air for over 5 years now and previously never had any issues. The only reason I hired them was because they did the installation work for the builder so I assumed they would be good for the biannual maintenance. We didn't have any issues until June of this year. We had the routine maintenance done at the end of April and I was told everything was working great. In June, the temperature of the home was going up which was not usual and I suspected a dirty air filter. I removed the air filter and found that it was soaking wet. I just assumed perhaps I let it go to long and replaced it. I also had Del Air come back out because they had just been out about 1 month earlier and I have never had a wet air filter before. They checked the system and said everything was great. About 3 weeks later, the temperature in the home started going up again. Checked the air filter and it was wet again. I called Del Air and a tech came out again and said everything was working fine and that it was probably due to the high humidity we've been having and that the temperature difference in our lower level zones was probably creating the excess water. About 2 weeks after this, the system shut off completely. I checked the air filter and it was fine but the float switch had been triggered. I cleaned out the float line and the it began running again. After about 1 hour, I found that the drain line was backed up. I immediately called Del Air and was told that they could have someone out in the morning. I called a few other companies as well because it was 10pm and I didn't want the unit to stop in the middle of the night. No one was available but one also said they would call me in the morning. They did call me at 8am and had a tech out to our home by 9:30am. I explained to him what was going on and he told me that it had to be a partial clog of the drain lines. He did a chemical flush and stated that it was clear to him that the lines weren't being properly maintained. Considering what came out of those lines, it was clear that he was correct. I'm very disappointed in Del Air and have requested a refund of my maintenance agreement fee. I have yet to get a reply from them. Amazing that since the lines were cleaned properly, we have not had one issue whatsoever with the temperature in the home when in fact we have had heat indexes over 105 for several days. Needless to say, the company that actually new what they were doing has now become the company who will be doing my biannual maintenance. I have used that company before for plumbing and electric but never thought to use them for heat and air. Del Air did return my call by the way. After about 2 hours after it had already be repaired.

They came next day and replace module ( part was free under manufacture’s 10 year warranty) Took about 30 minutes to diagnose & replace. Charged me $314.00 which think is excessive. Poor communication with office staff. They don’t return calls, are not aware of any specials being offered on their website and quote different prices for same work.

Once the problem was properly diagnosed, the replacement was promptly done. I have used Del-Air exclusively for the annual maintenance on this system, since they had installed it during the home construction. Their service has always been prompt, and the employees have always been courteous.

DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR..HEED THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS AND CALL ELSEWHERE! Unethical Business Practice- Upselling & Quoting for Expensive Unnecessary Repairs I’m in the same boat as all of these other unhappy customers. I called Del-Air in the early morning hours (2am) on Monday, October 19th due to my air conditioning system stopped cooling. They finally sent a technician out at 8pm that evening. Before the technician even looked at the problem he tried to upsell us a whole new air conditioning system on the basis that the unit was over 10 years old without even looking at it first to see if it was repairable. The unit is a 12 yr old Carrier Infinity system that costs over $10,000 new and had a brand new compressor and coils installed just in August 2016 by Del-Air. When we rejected that, he did some "tests" and then said we needed a new compressor. I called their office the next day for the quote at a cost of over $3200! I decided to get a second opinion. The 2nd company that came out the same day immediately diagnosed it and repaired it with a new start capacitor and relay at a cost of only $290. I called Del-Air to complain to a supervisor about their business practices and the $79 charge I paid for a gross misdiagnosis and told them I wanted a refund. I have still not heard back from the supervisor about the refund. It is shameful that this company will easily and knowingly take advantage of unsuspecting customers by telling them they need a new air conditioning system or making costly unnecessary repairs. I have done a chargeback on my credit card and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

It was excellent. The crew was excellent. Got the job done in one day. They had to reconstructed the frame and it came out great. Very good experience. They did the original in 1993 before it had to be replace 22 year later. I swear it was because of the maintenance. I have the platinum plan and discount on part, if they had to replace something

Diagnostics took quite a while. We sustained damage in conjunction with power surges during Hurricane Irma and our dual systems were non-functional. Even though we had one or two technicians here for around 20 hours, we were only charged for the one service call. This was a complicated case, and my only issue was the occasional miscommunication within the company over who was doing what next, but that problem was quickly resolved. Some of the first line techs were not as experienced as the more senior guys, as you might imagine, but they quickly brought in the higher-level techs when needed. We've used Del-Air for years and have always been impressed by their professional service. They do not add a surcharge for night or weekend calls and we also like that the company is employee-owned. Highly recommended!

They did not offer any mold cleaning services, just general inspection. Not really what we wanted at the time. Its not that they were unprofessional about anything, but they would not offer any suggestions beyond their own services. I can understand that but at the same time, I like a place that is willing to give a little. I will go back when appropriate if they have pointed me in the right direction in the past. My mom has used them for actual work and is pleased with them, so my experience could be isolated thus would consider them again in the future even though I don't think they maximized the opportunity on this occasion.

I didn't get charged for the visit. I'm on a yearly basis so they charge one time per year. They're always great. I would highly recommend them to a friend or family member. No matter when I call, or whatever, it's always been great. They'll even come out on the weekend or after hours. They are punctual and professional. I really haven't had anything bad to say about them. I've heard, and I think this is right, they have around 400 trucks. That's why they are able to have such a quit turn-around.

Poorly. $700 paid. AC now worse than before. They took CFC out, put it in, took it out, refused to put it back (even though our performance is clearly worse). One tech said "it's just an old unit" (It's 2 years old). They charged me $700 to replace a coil (that's under warranty BTW), which made no difference in performance. They then said the performance (which I was getting before and after the replacement) was "normal and correct". This AC doubled my electrical bill over the previous one. I've attached an image of the thermostat that's been running all day (It's 76 at 10:30 at night). They are telling me it's "normal". I'm getting only 10-12 degrees of drop from intake to output.
