As oldest daughter, I was tasked with emptying my Folks' two bedroom villa when they moved into the nursing home. The plan was to divide desired items among the four kids and ship from FL to four separate locations in NY and Boston, with the remainder donated to charity.
I was extremely pleased that I hired MC Senior Services. I was so happy to leave details to them, and reserve my precious time away from the job in NY spending it with my folks during such an emotional time for them. The service was perfect and this demanding New Yorker has no ideas for improvement.
Marc and Mary-Alice showed up on time when we met in person to scope out the work. The move itself happened the following week when I was back in NY. Things happened on schedule and all goods have been delivered.
Our MC Services coordinator, Christine, was absolutely fantastic at diffusing the emotional turmoil of the situation. She was excellent at communicating progress reports (since I was back in NY), asking for clarifications about who got what, asking what to do with the wedding ring found deep in a sock drawer, and confirming that we received charitable deduction receipts for items not shipped to the kids.

Note: Marc recently acquired a firm called Mary-Alice & Carol, which may be well-known to Pompano Beach area residents. Mary-Alice is still with the firm and added her expertise to our planning.
Cost for 31 hours of coordinating this clean-out and move was $1,550 plus additional expense of $3,516 packing and shipping charges for the four-stop move for a total a little under $5,000.
