First let me say that to set an install up you have to talk with a "booking" office not directly with a contractor. We chose a water heater (spec said 30A) that Home Depot has in stock. We got the first install quote for $1300+. They said we needed new electrical service. They said that we needed a 2x30A to replace 2x20A circuit breakers! I called again knowing I would get someone else on the phone. This time the quote was for $1400+ because we not only needed new electrical service but an extra tank too. We ended up directly calling a contractor (Suncoast Plumbing) directly and got the job done for $750 and were very happy with the job.
