This is the text of our complaint to the home office of ?Superior Sheds?. On 16 April 2012, our 10x20 aluminum shed was delivered and installed by your company ?Superior Sheds? replacing our original older wooden shed. We based our purchase on your reputation for ?customer service?, ?quality? and the ?satisfied customers? that are publicized by your internet website. Originally we were happy with your product, and used the shed to house a small workshop and washer/dryer area for our vacation cottage, where we spend about 4--5 days per month. However after about 14 months we discovered that the shed had a significant leak (about 1/2 gallon per heavy summer rainstorm) in the southeast section which has caused about $200 in damage to my tools and fiberglass insulation. Initially, I suspected that it was leaking through a small gap between the overlap of two of the ?top crown? pieces of the roof section, and after checking with Home Depot personnel, I used about 6--8 ounces of high quality foam insulation to attempt to stop this leak. Unfortunately it had no effect, and therefore believe that the leak is in a lower portion of the roof.
At that point I notified Bob at your Crystal River office. Initially he said he would get the problem fixed. But after waiting several days I recontacted Bob and he told me that his service man (Robert) said it could not be fixed. He then had me call Robert, who indicated that he didn't feel he could get on the roof, and that it would require too much scraping to remove the foam. He said he would call Bob about the problem, but apparently this did not happen on that date. I have discussed this with a family friend who is a contractor, and he indicated that the roof could definitely be fixed, using plywood sections temporarily placed across the roof frame for strength thus allowing workers to safely access the shed roof, and would probably only need some type of leak sealant applied to the roof section. I recontacted Bob today (22 June), and unfortunately he was not very helpful, but after some discussion, he said he would return my call today. When he called later, he indicated he could be of no further help because the foam sealer was the problem. He did reluctantly agree to have the owner--Bill-- call me on Monday. Clearly this ?sealer rational? is NOT the case because I only applied the sealer AFTER the leak was observed, and this appears to be an ?excuse? not to perform the repairs. On Saturday (22 June), I removed the water damaged interior fiberglass insulation and observed that the leak was in the roof SE corner and NOT at the crown where I had applied  foam insulation. I latter Informed Bob about this fact, but he offered no further help. As you can see, this situation is totally unacceptable to us, and requires your immediate attention and repair before this leak further damages our shed and it?s several thousand dollars of contents. If allowed to continue, I?m sure that the frame will begin to suffer wood rot and mold, making it unsafe to utilize in any capacity. It will be much easier and cheaper for you to repair the roof now rather than waiting for further damage to my shed and contents.
I am asking your help in resolving this important ?customer service? issue. As I informed Bob, if this issue is not corrected shortly, we will be filing a complaint early this week with the Better Business Bureau, and if necessary Small Claims Court.
We look forward to your positive response and the ?satisfaction? promised by your website.
Thank You.Bob Siwik. 813-926-8378

Stopped in at Superior Sheds for an estimate on a 10 x 16 shed after attempts at other providers.  Met with Bob Specht, told him exactly what our needs were and he satisfied our requirements with no pressure, delivered on time and exactly as quoted. Had a permit service handle all the paperwork with the county which was both a time and hassle saver for us.  Also referred us to a concrete contractor to handle driveway enlargement and access pad for the new shed.  Great experience and would recommend Bob and Superior Sheds to anyone in the market for the same.
