I called Brian Sargent from out of state to do service on my moms yard, which is a yard and 2 empty lots...there is much to maintain! I also needed his help in taking down overgrown bushes, debris and huge trees on the property. Brian consistently gave me super rates, and did the projects as specified. He was cordial, and professional. Because I am out of state, I relied on his integrity to do the job correctly and not take advantage of me. I took a half star off on the rating, only because he is not a bookkeeper, and sometimes he did not correctly keep track of what I owed him. I would recommend his service anytime! Lori W. From VA

They contracted in the fall to mow, weedeat, edge, blow off, trim hedge, maintain all plants, trim palm in pool cage, remove unwanted weeds. for a monthly rate much higher than I had paid in the past for the mowing and trimming. I have their Bid Sheet in my possession, from which the above is quoted. Once spring came and the grass mowing was required, they denied that they had agreed to do anything other than the first four items, but reluctantly did some hedge clipping and tree trimming when specifically asked, saying it was not in the deal. They missed several mowings during June, July and August. Sometimes there were as many as 14 days between times they showed up. They claimed that they were being paid by the month and not by the mowing, so this should not have been a problem to us They did spray weed killer in the flower beds the first 2 months, but then never did anything after that to eliminate or even try to control the weeds. When I recently tried to discuss the situation, I was met with the foulest language on the phone, causing me to just hang up. It appears that since they got a big commercial account they do not need the individual property owners business anymore. Also the foul language and failure to keep their word does not speak well of them. Be careful doing business here, especially if you sign up late in the year. You just may not get what you thought you were paying for.

I hired Brian Sargent s Lawn Service on May 2nd, 2019 to cut my lawn Weekly, Trim the walkway and Trim my shrubs when needed. They serviced my lawn weekly for May and June. Out of a months payment for 4 weeks, he missed cutting my lawn once in June. Today, July 11th, he was to cut my lawn after missing cutting my lawn for 2 weeks in July. So, I called Brian via phone to find out what was the problem for not cutting my lawn. Brian told me, did not you get my email to you? I told him no. He told me he can no longer cut my lawn because it is Too big, and he has a lot of Commercial Customers, and can not spend the time doing my lawn. I checked my email, I received it on July 3, 2019,but he did not have the decency to call me via phone to speak to me 2 weeks ago personally. That is extremely unprofessional actions on his part, not knowing until today, with my lawn 2 feet high I told him I already sent him $160 check for July, on July 10th when I received my Social Security. He told me when he receives it, he will send it back to me. He originally told me to trust him, He will never let me down, but he just cut me off. For anyone who considers using Sargents Lawn Service, I would never ever recommend them, very unreliable and they take advantage of people, poor business ethics.

Oh I love the work Brian’s crew just finished at my house! It looks like a whole new place. Brian and Philip were very knew exactly how to do the work I needed done. They were very knowledgeable in the different types of plants used in my landscaping, and offered suggestions while planning the redesign. Thank you so much for helping me make the “ugly house” look beautiful again.

Price much higher than other quotes. But I want to support small business. They broke a sprinkler line. Didnt tell me. I had it repaired by another company. Sargent's agreed to compensate me for the repair but didnt send me a check. Be careful with this guy.

Brian Sargent was very helpful when he came out, will do a complete cleanup of my yard, trim palm trees, pull weeds cut dead branches take everything away. He was hired to take care of my yard/grass for the next year, reasonable price.

Brian was quick to respond and came to my home to talk. I was given proof of insurance and and license. He discussed with me a schedule that would work financially as well as times per month I could expect service.
