About us

Curry’s Roofing LLC. is a small town roofing company that is family owned and operated. We are constantly making changes to better serve our customers and friends in Citrus County. All of our employees have been badged and certified with a full backround clearance. We are able to handle almost any jobs in the roofing business, such as the nuclear power plant or high end contractors who require these kinds of standards. We hold ourselves up to these standards for all our customers. Curry’s believe that sometimes a reroof is not the final answer. They will happily come out and inspect your roof for a low fee. If they find you do need a new roof they gladly waive that fee.

****** OFF CUSTOMER. The old roof did not leak it was just old. I decided we needed a new one to buy the house. Don't know put a new roof on and he chose curry roofing. Well, from day 1, the new roof leaks. Has been leaking since I got it. Didn't know it was leaking at the roof since I was told it leaking into the vent from storm angels. I believed it (dumbly) because it only did it a few times the last 4 years. I bought the house 5 years ago and the roof was a prerequisite (with the warranty) to buy the house along with the govt loan. They messed up the roof the 1st time and they had to redo it. Apparently 5 years later, I found out that what was leaking all this time really was the roof NOT my vent. Due to faulty workmanship apparently. Because I didn't call them sooner they are not willing to fix my brand new roof that they were paid for by the past owner for me. They're trying to use some stupid loophole that the warranty wasn't transferred from the owner of the roof to me therefore the old owner still owns my roof. Really???!!! You rip off your customer now by using a loophole of a piece of paper called the warranty that was transferred between the person who owned the house and the new person. It's not like they're gonna take the roof with them.My problem with this whole situation is none of the people involved knew anything about a warranty. And to prove this point, my conversation twice with people who work for this company both times commented to me and I "we try to tell people when they buy the roof that they will need to transfer a warranty. And I repeat what I just said we try to tell the people periother people. We try to tell the people doesn't tell the people that they need to transfer it and there is a transfer fee for a warranty. That comment alone to me twice tells me that more than likely that comment was never made to the owner of the house originally. He was older he might not have paid attention to you saying that or you probably didn't tell him that, Therefore not telling me or anyone else therefore not knowing therefore you now get more business because people get to come out and fix You are poor workmanship because of a loophole of a warranty explanation that most people don't even get told about until after the fact and it's too late. Us being one of them. Your company knew full well the house was being sold to a new owner yet nobody told any of us not me, the seller nor the title company that the warranty needed to be transferred. NOT ONE OF US!!!!! SO, rather than say yes we did your roof and don't want to lose your business. We care about our reputation, let me transfer the warranty for the warranty after the fact that no one knew about and make it right. Nope, Instead they are telling us that I can "schedule an appointment for them to come out and give me an estimate to fix it!" Are you nuts!!! If you did not put it on right the 1st time that you were paid for what the heck makes you think that I'm gonna pay you a second time to fix your faulty workmanship. I am now contacting Better Business Bureau and Attorney General and starting there. I am also letting Citrus County people know not to use this company because they rip you off, use loopholes and don't stand by their horrible workmanship. I have a new roof that's paid for with a warranty that my ex owner and friends own I'm told. Only in 2022! It was leaking out of my vent above my stove, now currently started leaking out of my air conditioning ducks as well which tells me it's but the vent angle and my floor and ceiling are all wet in my kitchen now. So if you want a nice house don't hire curry roofing. It's sad that any person (yet alone one that's older) has to go through all this just to get a company to have morals, values, care about their reputation and honor their warranty with their business. There are other parts of this story as well but this is the short version, believe it or not. ***DON'T HIRE CURRY ROOFING. I'LL YELL IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS UNTIL THEY MAKE MY ROOF RIGHT FOR THE MONEY THAT WE PAID FOR!!!*** PS. I'll be happy to take this down and speak nice of you AFTER you agree to come fix my leak...as well as any damage done by your leak...and transfer my warranty to me... the owner of the ROOF AND THE HOUSE!!!!! You were paid for a non leaking roof AND a warranty. WE EXPECT TO GET WHAT WE PAID FOR!!!

Scott Curry came by and gave me a quote on removing the old roof and installing a new roof! They put me on the schedule after I decided to go with their company! I got two other quotes and compared apples to apples for the same material and scope of work! Currys roofing quote came in considerably lower! They showed up on time and did the job in one day! Very professional '

Jim Curry feels that Curry Roofing has zero responsibility for the wrong color being used. He  offered to put a second layer of shingles over the wrong color. But he wants to split that cost ($6,500) three ways.  That's an additional $4,333 for my roof mate and myself to shell out to avoid a law suit.
Curry's roofing promotes themselves as being a member of the BBB. So I contacted the BBB for help. Guess what...they are not members. And now Jim Curry is so mad that we contacted the BBB that he has rescinded his offer to split the cost of the new shingles 3 ways. Says we are now on our own. He completely washes his hands of us.
He has called us liars for saying that we received assurances of a color match from anybody at Curry Roofing.
Now we have had to obtain an attorney...more money out of our pockets.
I don't know how this will resolve itself. But I have zero confidence in Curry Roofing. We were fools to trust them.

My experience with Curry's Roofing was very stressful. The job was supposed to start in 6-8 weeks. It was closer to 10 weeks. Numerous calls were not returned. The job was supposed to start on a Thursday but was changed to Friday due to rain. Thursday night, one of the employees called to tell me the job cannot be started until Monday because the roofing inspector in my county does not work on Friday. That was a lie. The inspector works on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. When I mentioned this to Jim Curry, he told me the workers were probably just trying to buy some time. According to the roofing inspector, Curry's Roofing did not do a good job. The job was okay. Several errors were made. One of the workers put a nail in my air conditioning chase line, draining all of the Freon out. This error cost me an extra $1,200. When I told Jim Curry what happened, he was defensive and had an attitude. He told me his company was not responsible for the location of air conditioning lines. When I told him I thought he would at least apologize, Jim Curry told me he was not going to apologize for anything. I really wish I would have chosen a different company.

The job was not done correctly and the problem not solved. After calling several times and no response I gave up on Curry’s.

Can not judge them on punctuality as they did not and would not give a time guide line as to who, what, where, or how. Missed their original of it will be done within 7 to 10 days. There is no professionalism with their office personnel and scheduling of work. Price does not seem to be out of line. Hope their quality does not have the same low standards they have shown in every other avenue of their business.

Too bad this had to happen. But honestly, my dad taught me, if you don't do it right, don't do it at all, and treat people like you want to be treated. This company also asks for 10% down. Others do not do this. The picture does not show the two roofs that enclose the porches, but it was this way around the two roofs. This is only two sides. How do they get these good reviews? Sloppy work.

We had a couple of complications due to a worker getting injured and another's truck breaking down, but they worked hard to correct everything asap, and even came early to finish on Thanksgiving day. The workers were pretty professional overall, and seemed to care about doing a good job.

Removal went well. New roofing material was installed and all was well for approximately two months, at which time we received torrential rains and we developed a leak at a kitchen overhead vent. Repairs were completed approximately a week following the report of the leak.

The guys worked very hard even though they had to work in the cold . We had a solar tube installed. Very happy with it.
They arrived when they said they would and worked until way into the evening trying to finish the job. Very happy with the finished job.

They did a great job with the roof, and also did a great job cleaning up after themselves. The price was also the most reasonable out of the other three estimates I received. I was very happy with the work they did.

They were good people, they did what they needed to do and didn't do anything that didn't have to be done. They did what they had to do and they were done. They were good with professionalism, I'd definitely hire them in the future.

They were great. They started when they said they would. They were very hard exceptional devoted workers. Great workmenship. Any mess they made on the lawn, they cleaned up after themselves. In 20yrs if they still are in business, I'd hire them again.
