The fence is not built in a straight line! They were also told to build the fence on the outside of one of the lawn sprinkler heads - they built the fence over the top of the sprinkler head. The gates are not accessible from the outside the back yard, the latch to unlock the gate is on the inside of the fence and it is almost at the top of the fence. The children are not able to get in and out of the gates at all. The gates to leave the backyard and enter into the front yard are placed on the hill and not on flat ground. The gates barely open because they are have to open on to the incline of the hill. The large gate that closes off the second driveway was not hinged on the top and the bottom, it was hinged at the top and the middle of the gate door. That gate is not accessible from the outside at all, two latches were placed on the inside of the fence - one at the top and one at the bottom. When the workers were trying to close the gate they twisted the latch on the bottom. The large gate does not close properly due to the incorrect posts being used and due to the hinges not being placed in the proper locations. When the owner of the company, Shane Wilks, was told about the problems he argued and said the fence was a high quality fence and nothing was wrong with it. The fence has been inspected and we were told it is unsafe and will not last for more than two years - if we are lucky. We were told the large gate over the second driveway will not last more than a few months.
